I thought I’d goofed on a box junction today . But as my ( right turn ) exit was clear I hadn’t. Phew !

What if you are in the box when turning right, but the road is not cleared for you to move forward

!:13 When stopped in the box it is not your responsibility whether your exit is clear or blocked. It simply has to be clear at the time you enter the box.

Hey, I was watching this video and I looked at the traffic lights you was waiting at, was those traffic lights the ones where you would usually have to wait till the light is green to say you can turn right ? Thank you for all your content btw it’s really helping my confidence with my test coming up in a few weeks.

Hi, great question. I think what you are referring to is the filter light. If you have a full green light, then if it is clear, you can make your turn. If there is a green filter light (the green arrow light) in the direction you are turning, then this indicates you can make your turn as the oncoming traffic will now have a red light. But always check for oncoming traffic anyway, just incase a car or cyclist has jumped their red light. Hope that helps. Yea that’s the one I meant aha. Ahh ok it’s just I’ve seen some videos and they say if you go when the filter light is not on then it’s a fail that’s only why I asked. Yea I have my test in Portsmouth so all of your videos about the roundabouts has helped massively so thank you once again.
