Sir, I would like to know,that I am able to solve difficult puzzles without knowing the X ...Y wings,is it compulsory for me to know the rules of X...y wings.since I it is informed that x..y wings are necessary steps to solve the difficult puzzles I am confused, kindly guide me .....

Hi Mn. thanks for your comment. Firstly not all advanced puzzles require the XY wing W wing XYZ wing and X wing. etc Otfen you don't need any of them., but knowing will help is some cases. A lot depends on the algorhythmn used to designethe puzzle. The more tricks and techniques you know the better. There is nothing like lots of practice to be able to spot some of these advanced patterns. I still don’t get why you decide to put 6 there. It could be in the middle as well.

Good Question, if I understand what you mean by the middle. In the first block on the 3rd row you have a 3X3 w 4,6 and 9 which means that in that tow only 3 numbers can be put there. iie.e 4 or 6 or 9 n 3 cells. Therefore 6 must go on the bottom row of block 1. Don't you have an XYZ there @ 1:59 X=4,6,9 Z=4,9 Y also = 4,9 ? I'd like to see more XYZ videos.

@@SudokuGuy Yep, I've watched it several times, I sometimes have trouble on which number can be eliminated. And can more than one number be eliminated?

If you look at tutorial # 42 you will notice that if the cell with the 8 in it ...if it had something like a 564 as small numbers that 4 can be removed because it is in the same block as the pivot and is in line with the XZ wing. Hope this helps

Because if you put 4 or 9 you puzzle would have 2 solutions which is not possible each puzzle has unique solution.

When you have 4 cells in this disposition with same pairs and another number in one cell you put this odd number. If you have more Others numbers this cell contains one of these numbers. This technique is called unique rectangle type 1. Sorry for my english l am french

In this example if you put a 4 or a 9 the puzzle would have 2 solutions because in the 3 Others cells you Will put a 4 or a 9.
