That was a very interesting tutorial my friend although I bound my tx16s to the Pioneer with a little difficulty, on reflection I will definitely be going through this procedure to ensure that everything is functioning correctly, Thanks again Tony for taking the time to demonstrate to us all so we can get in the air safely. Thank you Alan! Yeah, I thought I'd perform this procedure on the receivers that require it just to make sure I have a strong signal. So far, so good ;-) I always thought this would be done automatically when you bind up to a receiver but I guess that's not the case with some protocols. I'm still learning ;-) See you in the Air!

Do i need to do this everytime we use a plane with a different brand? for example i use lemon and spektrum, is this depending on model setup in the radio?

Hi Alex! I perform the RF Freq Tuning for a specific protocol and use that number for all of the receivers using that protocol. I perform the RF Freq Tuning again for each different protocol that requires it.

@@alexherrera3918 DSM2/DSMX is not a protocol that requires RF Freq Tuning. Here is a link to the Multi-Module Page for the FrSky D8 Protocol. Notice under the details it has a warning that RF Freq Tuning is required. If you don't see that you should be good without performing RF Freq Tuning.

@@GroundControlRC ok thanks,i just crashes yesterday after moving the ranges of the telemetry alarms because i wanted to get rid of the warning....so i thought is was related. it seems that is not. thanks for responding to my question!!!!

I've read on some forums not to tune the RX to close to the TX as the signals can swamp each other?

Yes, that is definitely the way you should perform binding and tuning. I have them close together for the demonstration so I can get everything in camera frame.
