Very helpful, just got my first MPC 2000xl in 2020 😁 Even after watching MPC school videos and taking notes i was struggling to understand how to assign more than 4 samples to pads but this vidoe made it very clear, thankyou 🙏🏻

So say I record one sample that's 30 seconds long, inside that sample there are 5 drum hits I want to assign to 5 different pads. How do I extract those particular hits and assign them to different pads without discarding the rest of the sample after extracting the first? From your video it seems like I'd have to re record the same sample again and extract the part I want each time. sorry if noob question but i'm coming from Ren and 2.0. I'm trying to learn the old school way plus the XL sounds better than the software by far.

WHEN I ADDING DRUMS AND I WANT TO GET SOME MORE DRUMS FROM ANOTHER ZIP DISK CAN I JUST REMOVE ZIP DISK AND INSERT ANOTHER ZIP

KELVIN MANLEY I think you should be able to do this. I believe the MPC keeps what you have already loaded in its internal working memory until you turn it off or save it back to disk. Don't takw my word for it though...wouldn't want you to make a whole beat and then lose it listening to me...lol. Good question though. Thanks for watching!
