I'm samoan and got Tuvaluan blood in me. I heard Tuvaluan people speak samoan but a bit different and I'm so confused with the whole thing

Sounds like they are speaking maori Tongan and samoan at once. That's why I'm a bit lost. I'm more Samoan that's why.

christian missionaries came to the island and they spoke samoan. so, the language is heavly influensed by samoan. or, that's what the wiki said before i saw this video. XDD

That is like the Tokelauan people my people our language is hugely influenced by both Tuvaluan and Samoan especially Samoan because of the Samoan Missionaries who brought the Holy word to our people we also have the Fatele similar to our Tuvaluan brothers and Sisters

I’m Samoan and I have friends who are Tuvaluan I can understand the language when it is written yet when they speak its unique because it reminds me of my friends who are Tongan. Beautiful and unique how the connections of our Polynesian languages connect! 💙
