ഈ video കണ്ടപ്പോൾ മറ്റൊരുകാര്യം ആണ് ഓർമ വന്നത്. ഞാൻ 10th ഇൽ പഠിക്കുന്ന time, ഒരിക്കൽ ഒരു കല്യാണത്തിന് പോകാൻ ഞാൻ ഒരു frock ഇട്ടു. അന്ന് long hair ആയിരുന്നു. അപ്പൊ മുടിയും അഴിച്ചിട്ടു. ഒരുങ്ങി ഇറങ്ങിയതും അമ്മ പറഞ്ഞു "മോളെ നീ ഒരു പാന്റ് എടുത്തിട്ടേ ഇതിന്റെ അടിയിൽ , നോക്കിയേ നിന്റെ കാല് കാണുന്നുണ്ട് " എന്ന്. ഞാൻ അമ്മയോട് ഒരു , ഇത്തിരി കാലിന്റെ ഭാഗം അല്ലെ അമ്മ അത് കണ്ടാൽ ഇത്ര പ്രശ്നം ആണോ എന്നൊക്കെ ചോദിച്ചിട്ടും അമ്മക്ക് മറുപടി ഒന്നുല്ല്യ. അപ്പോഴും അമ്മ പറഞ്ഞതിൽ ഉറച്ചുനിന്നു. അവസാനം ഞാൻ ഒരു പാന്റ് എടുത്ത് ഇട്ടു. കല്യാണത്തിന് പോകാൻ വീട്ടീന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിയതും അമ്മുമ്മ പറഞ്ഞു. "കുഞ്ഞു മുടി അഴിച്ചിട്ടിട്ടാ നടക്കണേ , ചെല്ല് ചെന്ന് അത് മേടഞ്ഞ് ഇട്ടിട്ട് വായോ " ന്ന്. അപ്പോഴും ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞുനോക്കി അമ്മുമ്മ ഒരു ദിവസം അല്ലെന്ന്....., എന്നിട്ടും രക്ഷയില്ല്യാതെ ഞാൻ മുടി മേടഞ്ഞിട്ടു. എല്ലാം കഴിഞ്ഞു കാറിൽ കേറാൻ നേരം എന്റെ പാപ്പന്റെ വക അടുത്തത്. "ഇത് എന്താടി ഇത് , പോയി ഒരു ഷോൾ എടുത്ത് ഇടടി "ന്ന്. ഒരു അലർച്ചയായിരുന്നു അത്. അന്ന് മറുത്ത് ഒന്നും പറയാതെ അമ്മ എടുത്തുതന്ന ഒരു ഷോളും ഇട്ട് നിറഞ്ഞുവന്ന കണ്ണീർ താഴെ വീഴാതെ ഇരിക്കാൻ കൊറേ പണിപെട്ട് ഞാൻ ആ കല്യാണത്തിന് പോയി. എത്ര ആശിച്ചആയിരുന്നുന്ന് അറിയോ അന്ന് ഞാൻ ഒരുങ്ങി ഇറങ്ങിയത്. പക്ഷെ എല്ലാവരുടെയും ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ അനുസരിച്ചു മാറി മാറി അവസാനം എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലായി ഞാൻ പോലും അറിയാതെ ഞാൻ സ്വയം മാറിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്യാണ് ന്ന്. ഇപ്പൊ ആരും എന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഒന്നും പറയാറില്ല്യ. ഒന്നും , പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് കാര്യം ഇല്ല്യാന്ന് മനസ്സിലായിക്കാണും. മുതിർന്നവരെ എതിർക്കരുത് , അത് വല്ല്യ തെറ്റാണ് എന്ന് ചിന്തിച്ചു നടന്നിരുന്ന എന്നിൽനിന്നും , ദാ ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഞാൻ ആയി മാറാൻ കൊറേ കഷ്ടപെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. But ഇപ്പൊ ഞാൻ happy ആണ് , ചുറ്റും കൂടി നിൽക്കുന്നവർ എന്തു പറഞ്ഞാലും അതിനൊന്നും ചെവി കൊടുക്കാതെ നമ്മുക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള പോലെ നമ്മടെ life ജീവിക്കുമ്പോ അതിൽപരം സന്തോഷം മറ്റൊന്നൂല്ല്യ എന്ന് ഇപ്പൊ എനിക്കറിയാം.

എന്റെ cousin എപ്പോഴും ചുരിദാർ ആണ് ധരിക്കാറ്. എനിക്ക് എല്ലാ type dressഉം ഇടാൻ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്. Like jeans, kurthi, skirt, churidar etc.. But I'm more comfortable in Jeans n Top. വീട്ടുകാരോട് ഓരോ തവണയും ഇടിപിടിച്ചിട്ട് ആണ് jeans ഒക്കെ വാങ്ങുന്നത്. അപ്പോഴൊക്കെ അവര് ചേച്ചിയുമായി compare ചെയ്യും. അവൾ എപ്പോഴും നല്ല മാന്യമായ dress ആണ് ഇടുന്നത്. അത് പോലെ ആകണം ഞാനും എന്നൊക്കെ. പക്ഷെ ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കലും സമ്മതിച്ചുകൊടുക്കാറില്ല. ഒരു ദിവസം വീട്ടിൽ three forth ഇട്ടു നടന്ന എന്നെ കണ്ട് ആ ചേച്ചി പറഞ്ഞത് "എനിക്കും ഇത് ഒക്കെ ഇടണമെന്ന് ഒത്തിരി ആഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ അച്ഛൻ ചുരിദാർ അല്ലാതെ വേറെ ഒന്നും വാങ്ങാൻ സമ്മതിക്കില്ല" എന്നാണ്. എന്നിട്ട് എന്റെ three forth ഒക്കെ ചുമ്മാ എടുത്തു ഇട്ട് നോക്കി.. I feel really sad for her. 'നല്ലകുട്ടി' എന്ന label കിട്ടാൻ വേണ്ടി ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളത് പലതും ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റാതെ വരുന്ന അവസ്ഥ. 🤢

Once I wore a blue saree to the Arts fest in my college.. The saree was slightly transparent n my stomach n navel was visible through it. After the horrible treatment I got from the teachers and fellow students of my college I never dared to even look at that saree ever again even though I had bought it with much love.. For so long some students even called me blue saree.. Some teachers gave me advice on how improper my dress was.. Some body shamed me saying I have fat in my stomach n I should not wear such dress.. And a few men even after I passed out of college kept on asking me for my photo in that saree.. I even got to know how some people took my photos without my permission and some even shared it.. The kind of mental trauma I had to go through just because I wore a slightly transparent blue saree is unimaginable.. But I have still kept the saree safe in my wardrobe hoping to wear it someday when a woman's body will not be seen as a mere sexual object..

ഒരു ദിവസം ഞാൻ ബസ്സ് സ്റ്റാൻഡിൽ ഇരിക്കുവായിരുന്നു എൻ്റെ തൊട്ട അടുത്ത് ഒരു വയസ്സായ താത്ത ഇരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ആ വഴി ഒരു കുട്ടി sleevless ടോപ് ഇട്ട് പോകുന്നത് കണ്ടു. എനിക്ക് നല്ല ഇഷ്ടമായി, എനിക്ക് അത് പോലെ ഇടാൻ പറ്റിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എന്ന് മനസ്സിൽ വിചാരിക്കുക ആയിരുന്നു ആപോ അടുത്തിരുന്ന താത്ത പറയുകയാ, എന്ത് വൃത്തികേടാ ലെ? കയ്യും കാണിച്ച് നടക്കുന്നു എന്ന്. ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചു ആ കുട്ടിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ആ കുട്ടി ധരികട്ടെ അതിനിപ്പം എന്താ എന്ന്. എനിട്ടും അവർ എന്നോട് വാധിക്കുവാ, അവർ അവരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം പറഞ്ഞതാ അതാണ് ഇതാണ് എന്തൊക്കെയോ. ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു ഞാനും എൻ്റെ അഭിപ്രായം പറഞ്ഞു, അത് പോലെ തന്നെ ആ കുട്ടിക്ക് ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാനുള്ള സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ആ കുട്ടിക്ക് ഉണ്ട് എന്ന്. അവർക്ക് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞത് ഒട്ടും പിടിച്ചില്ല എന്ന് ആ മുഖത്ത് വ്യക്തമായിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നും മിണ്ടിയില്ല, വേഗം headset എടുത്ത് വെച്ചു ചെവിയിൽ 🤷🏽‍♀️ അടുത്ത് വേറൊരു സ്ത്രീ വന്ന് ഇരുന്നപ്പോൾ അവരോടും ആ താത്ത ഇതേ കാര്യം പറയുണ്ടയിരുന്നു.🤦🏽‍♀️

So true because everyone is concerned of a person dressing. I don't get why people is concerned about a female dressing anyway it's they're wish and nobody has the right to comment on others dress. Last year I saw Anashwara Rajan posted a photo she wearing shorts and I was terrified by the comments because mostly men commented that a girl should not show their body like it's one person's wish to show their body or not. All men are jerks and toxic. Even some women also support dressing discrimination and believe that girls should rely men and listen to a men like I hate these people these days.A women is only called women if she is strong and will not rely on men also stands up for herself and one more thing wearing the dress she likes. Society created a big insecurity for Ladies.

Once I wore a lahanga to my school it was my favourite dress but the blouse I wore was short it was pink in colour so I thought of wearing pink camisole and I went to school happily when I reached school everybody was teasing me coz camisole was visible so I thought of hiding it with dupatta and it was transparent blue and they said your everything is visible then I was like what is everything it's just the camisole right so one child said these kind of dress can attract boys....... Even teachers torchered me for that incident....... My skin was not visible they told me don't wear such dress from that day I never attended any special days in school...... After 1 year my parents changed school and new school is like heaven even teachers wear shorts and sleeveless to school teachers there are very friendly we can ask anything to them teachers are like friends for us it's like heaven I never expected such schools in Kerala
