Thanks, I’m still learning and figuring it out as I go!

The ideea of USALS H-H Motor is excellent you don't have to run an extra cable like in the case of a an actuator, the current coaxial cable does the job.
@NorthcoasterHobby3 жыл бұрын
Nice and simple with one coaxial cable.

Great video. I would recommend a 100 cm dish like my setup, the signal is much better and you can receive weak transponders with no problem, Also the signal is stable during rain or bad weather.

I have a 39” dish I might try sometime.
@Nicholas_Chris3 жыл бұрын
@@NorthcoasterHobby Yes, mount the 39" dish, you will have better results. Some people tried 120 cm dishes, the problem is that a 120 cm may damage faster the H-H motor, that is why a 100 cm dish should be the maximum size. A 100 cm Ku Band dish and a USALS H-H motor is the best setup for FTA reception. For 120 cm I would recommend an actuator like Robbie Strike did with his dish.

My motorized ku setup is a Primestar (Channelmaster) 1 meter "round" offset on a custom attached Patriot H2H mount using an old Monterey 200C as the positioner, not quite as automatic or convenient as USals or DiseqC motors, lol. But tracks beautifully from 123W to 30W and has survived two Cat 4 hurricanes Just changed out the original Japan Radio dual polarity ku lnb with a Universal LNBF. Had to make a custom 40mm lnbf holder for it as the original feed/lnb was a 30mm.

Excuse me , can you do a video to the satellite 70 w and 61w Amazona 2

Did you end up making the tutorial for motorized dishes? I can't seem to find it.

It got put on the back burner. I’ll try to get to it sometime!

can you set it up so you can have channels from all different sats then the dish moves as you cycle through channels.
@NorthcoasterHobby Жыл бұрын
Yes. That’s the purpose of the motor.
@HA05GER Жыл бұрын
@@NorthcoasterHobby that's pretty cool. I assumed it would still be a user had to select what they want and not be autonomous when you select a channel.
@NorthcoasterHobby Жыл бұрын
@@HA05GER It can be user programmed using DiSEqC 1.2. It can also be set up to auto locate satellites, but the installation for that command system (called USALS) must be set up perfectly or it will not track the satellite arc correctly.

@@NorthcoasterHobby thanks for the replys watched a few satellite videos today. Randomly appeared in my feed and have found them quite interesting. It's a shame it's a dying technology because it's so impressive compared to sending stuff down a line like we do now.

@@stevenrobertson7069 The arm on the motor is adjusted to the correct angle and automatically adjusts the elevation angle looking into the sky as the dish moves east to west across the arc.

I miss orby tv that's one of them I would get if they still had it. They were way cheaper than dish network or directv. I'm not a big sports fan so orby tv would have been perfect for me

They seemed to offer a good package of channels at a decent price point. Too bad they couldn’t sustain.

@@NorthcoasterHobby I know. I guess more people like sports channels. I'm not much of a sports watching fan

I think finding free channels from around the world is the fun part of the hobby, even if they are in different languages. Thanks for watching.
