You are the only person who has labeled a video as Rare, and it actually is. Ive seen alot of "bloopers" from the D-V-D show and have never seen these. Thank you.

When sponsors ruled TV‼️You should have put Don Rickles on your header. As always, Don steals the show even with bloopers!

The Danny Thomas show and The Dick Van Dyke show are among two of the best television shows ever made and unfortunately "they" don't make them like "this" anymore.

I hate to say this but that was a period in time where people were more civil and considerate with each other.

What would've been great, had they been on the same network at the time, if Danny Thomas and family appeared on Dick Van Dyke's show. Danny Williams appearing on The Alan Brady Show would be the main plot line.
@LeoA26002 жыл бұрын
By the time The Dick Van Dyke Show was on, they were on the same network, CBS. There's even a single crossover episode on The Danny Thomas Show with Morey Amsterdam playing his Buddy Sorrell character (The season 11 episode 'The Woman Behind the Jokes'). Danny Thomas also was one of the principals behind The Dick Van Dyke Show and is listed in the credits of each episode (He's also the "da" in Calvada Productions, the show's production company; The name was derived from letters from Carl Reiner, Dick Van Dyke, Danny Thomas, and Sheldon Leonard's names). So it would've been quite odd for him to be starring on one of the top shows of a competing network at the same time.

Just like Don Knotts, Don Rickles kept people laughing until their very end. None of the laughs were mere chuckles, they were outbursts. I wish I had had them as friends!

Does anybody remember a Dick Van Dyke episode where, in their office, Rob Petrie calls Sally Rogers "Ro"? I always thought that was probably what he called her off camera, short for Rose (Marie).
@hxhdfjifzirstc8942 жыл бұрын
Maybe he caught himself, halfway through the name 'Rose'.

Reminds me of the scene near the end of the original Star Wars where Luke excitedly calls out "Carrie!" to Leia. Amazing they didn't catch that one.

A majority of them were. The only one I know of on DVD that had canned laughter was the episode that aired a few days after JFK was killed. They shot it without an audience.

Danny Thomas' true nature came out in these out takes. Not too nice, and before an audience. Not the best way to portray a public image.

He's been dead for 31 years. Is it really necessary to besmirch his character now??? Really?
@jasonwentworth49952 жыл бұрын
I think his pre-sitcom career as a fast-talking nightclub comedian is on display here...his mild jabs to the audience, co-stars etc. were most likely an effort to keep the studio audience alert and laughing through what could be long filming sessions. For a current example check out the many "Everybody Loves Raymond" outtakes on KZbin. I don't think there's any genuine contempt or anger here.
