There are logical hints to determine consequences for each choice: 1. The zombie is right, it wouldn’t make sense for the government to let you out and risk a pandemic. 2. The zombie states they feel hunger but they willingly have stayed underground for a long time. That doesn’t make much sense.

I usually don’t like games where there’s a massive info dump at the beginning, but the story and atmosphere is so good that I was loving every minute of it! Good voice acting too. I don’t know the language, but the emotion conveyed was very obvious. On the negative side, I didn’t really understand the first ending. What happened? Did he meet the same woman he meets in the 3rd ending? If so, how is she in both places at the same time? It’s kind of confusing. Also, what an amazing set up for a game! And then…no game. :-( I’m really hoping that this is just a teaser. Because the writers and actors are very talented. I’d like to play this game. But right now, it’s just an beginning and some endings without any game in between.

I wanted to leave it open to the player wether or not she's a good or bad person, and what happens. @somecharacter012 жыл бұрын
If you noticed the operator lady is using a script. Could be because she thought that I would lead to our freedom or demise. Demise know that if we did we just became a lab rat Another thought is she’s known everything from the start and (I’m speculating that…) she could also be infected (considering you’re infected) but more tame compared to the one you meet at floor 12 this could be one reason she is luring you as a lab rat since she may be looking for a cure for herself but cannot do so. I’m speculating she’s (the operator) also infected since she seems to have brute forced the door at the stairway leading to the “control room”. If it even is a control room. Lots of mysteries on that end but it could be that the operator is dead and someone else is waiting, is being forced to do this, luring you into her trap, or just feels lonely and wants company.

What a beautiful game. Here is a metaphor about the terrible conformity of our lives, the prison we are trapped in, not so much a physical one, as one of our psyche and spirit by the opposing forces of the world which seek the same end for us. The one represents the false sense of security in what convenient governments and institutions give us with morality and the chance to "pursue our own happiness." This is an allegorical false light, an allegorical false heaven. The other is the absolute darkness and coldness of our carnal desires- the greatest being lust. Here is another kind of conformity in which every day outside forces lurk to tempt and enflame us for our exploitation and inevitable doom. In a way the digital manuscript we live under is designed for surveillance and to convince us in one of two directions. We are all in a long vertical canal of loneliness and longing. Interestingly, this comes out during COVID times to talk about the true quarantine of our lives- our culture. The interactions we have with our computers and cell phones are not different in being sterile and alienating than the cameras here. We can't really converse back with the dazzling array of the parasocial that confronts us on the internet. The only way is to forge our own path with some inner faith. I want to snuggle with Laura in the dark and read together those passages of Nietzche with our innermost light. I want to read those poems of Blake, and those stories of Anderson- fire up the old flames of flight with the works so long entombed by our modern conveniences and invisible oppression.

Different from how the field is dominated today I bring my literary background and work to unpack the literary significance of this new medium, as to me without a literary significance what holds us to the game? It's a concept very well explored, I'd play more games like this one. The only thing it doesn't convince me (the unpopular opinion) is the voice acting. The woman didn't sound to me like a person trapped for months and a little scared for the risks and feelings of talking to other person, and the employee sounded very unprepared for the situation and not professional at all. I fell like the roles where not well stablished. But is something that can be redone easily, the rest of the game has a lot to offer.
@96Wezi962 жыл бұрын
Let me be more clear with an example. I didn't buy that the employee focuses more in justify what's going on in that building when the protagonist didn't question it. If that information compromises the company, then she would avoid the topic and just focus on convince the protagonist to get out.

Basically, the choices are either death or captivity as a lab rat. The choice is your reasoning of life or death. The staircase one tho couldn’t get that
@threebuckgames2 жыл бұрын
Hi, so I think it's fair to admit we are 100% lurking in these comments to read about what people are saying about our game 😅 If you want we could tell you what our plan was to convey with the staircase ending? Basically, we wanted the player to be able to try and find a place of community in the dark situation they had ended up in, and to really higlight that even in a situation where you can see nothing but darkness, hopelessness and depression, humans will always find eachother. In the end, we don't know if Laura is just like the lady on the bottom floor, or if she's the love of your life, or if you guys will even end up liking each other. But, in a situation like that, jumping in and deciding afterwards if it was a good idea might be your best shot. We didn't communicate this as clearly as we'd like, people seem a little bit confused in general and it is our first go at a story based game... ever, but that was what we were trying to convey. Thank you for checking out our game :)
