Totally agree - I would imagine Tyler's conserving his voice. It must be a big issue especially at the start of a huge run of shows after taking a break. I'm sure the last thing they would want is for Tyler to do interviews every day and his voice pack up ten shows in.

I'm so glad Josh talked about his anxiety. He hardly ever talks about it and even though I could tell he was really anxious to be talking about it, I know that that means he is getting more comfortable with it and improving. And most of these interviews he has been doing alone recently. I am so proud of him. Also, out of all the interviewers I have seen interviewing them, this guys has to be my favorite. He is so interested in what they have to say. He doesn't do this in a 'just got to do my job' attitude, but more in a 'I absolutely love this and I want to hear everything' way. And he is so nice to them.

There are so few artists, especially male ones I think, who are willing to be open and vulnerable about struggling with anxiety and mental illness, and the fact that Josh talks about these things so often and is so brave about it is just so bolstering to me on my hard days and I really appreciate and respect him so much.

I love this so much cause it really reminds me why I attempt to do anything that I do. I’ve been taking a simple choir class in high school just because I love singing and it makes me happy, but whenever I think about trying out for a solo or auditioning for jazz choir I get super anxious and shaky. So seeing this guy here who has the same sort of struggle really get out there and perform in front of people helps me not give up completely. Josh gives me hope that someday, even if it’s far away, I’ll get through this to a point where I’m comfortable enough to do what I like and express myself.

So that's why in the music video of Guns for Hands, Tyler gave Josh a mask for him to hide his face and then said "They won't know it's you" and "You can take it off when you're ready" which is Tyler telling him to overcome his anxiety.

Maybe this sounds weird but its like idk nice? To see a famous person, someone I look up to, that talks about things like this. I can get very anxious too in certain situations and just to hear him say things like: "I just dont like being the centre of attention", that are so recognisable and the fact he has it too but still is a really succesfull person makes me really happy

Josh is pushing through his fears, and that's an admirable thing. Anxiety is a constant battle, one where you need to try and only go forward, and not backwards. If you give yourself too much of a break between events that cause you anxiety, then it will only build, and end up making it worse. As such, I'm sure during the beginning stages of their tours the anxiety is at its peak.

finally an interviewer who openly admits to sometimes feeling really nervous about doing interviews too! every time I've thought about going into music journalism (or the likes) I've doubted myself so much because I get nervous just talking to people I don't really know in normal everyday life, so hearing someone who's been doing this for years say he's also felt that way, but keeps working at getting better, is really helpful.

Some of the interviews I've watched tend make the viewer uncomfortable because we can tell when you're just a fan of the singles playing on the radio, but you don't ever delve into the true heart of the band. But THIS.....this was a great interview. Donny Fandango "gets it." He was not the least bit annoying like so many others I've watched interview our boys. Fantastic interview, Donny!
