I'm back from the holidays. I can't say I had a good time because I was helping my mother to renovate the house. _Maybe_ the next one will be about resting :) Regarding this video, well... I did it because I almost forgot everything about Twilight Highlands, except the Grim Batol story. I recommend you to visit Thundermar and Kirthaven, some warm Wildhammer dwarves places. my blue thumb up is number 185, there are 3620 seconds of good moments in this video, and the colors of the landscape plus sky reach are fantastic. spoiler alert this video is a master piece.

Lovely zone. I spent so much time here on horde toons farming Twilight Jasmine, wishing I could go into the beautiful dwarven cities without getting attacked.

@@jayh2571 yes, same! So many hours farming in cata. I always went to Vashj’ir for obsidium ore because it was usually deserted. Loved that zone too. The naga were good for cloth too. Fun times.

I think it's the least play expansion for me - so not so much farming for me. (It's because I hated the Cata changes to the old world. The new zones were fun though.)

Great memories! Thank you for this. I remember leveling up here during Cataclysm launch and I was inside the mine in the north..? part of the highlands when Deathwing decided to gift the zone with his breath. Got my 'Stood in the Fire' achievement that day.. I believe I was level 84 and a few bars away from 85 haha. Good times.

15:40 whenever we were in Stonecore and very *very* timely killed the last boss at this right exact moment of the soundtrack, her final voiceline that goes "for my death, countless more will fall. The burden... is now yours to.. bear" it, always sounded so perfectly dramatic like a movie scene ^^ i loved cataclysm quite a lot. (same with the second boss of the blackrock dungeon when she says. "all part of the master's plan, your death is, inevitable." Damn dude PvE in Cataclysm was insanely fun at least for me as a fire mage main

Ya know what’s sad. I truly miss vanilla wow around 2004-2006 then other expaxs 2008-2010 then 2012-2014. It got me through a lot of bad times. I miss the music it is very comforting. I miss my friends around that time and I wish we could go back to that time when we all had time to play together and we’re not so caught up in real world issues….I miss wow… oh blizzard how you have changed……

Cataclysm was one of my favorites regarding the music, and even if the Twilight Highlands isn't the nicest and happiest place ever, You were able to make a really awesome video about it. Na, its still one of the best Zones, since it ties in so well with the rest of the expansion. Later Xpansions loose that feeling of progress while leveling, that was present till MoP. You really start following a questline when you enter the expansion, to stop Deathwing and his force of Elementals and then you constantly fight against the Twilight Hammer and their bad influence on Nature in various different locations, that all tie a theme (Fire, wind, Earth and Water) until you finally fight the Hammer on his home turf in the Twilight Highlands. People always trash on Cata, and i dont really know why. It was a good expansion, ist just ended on a bad note it did not deserve. I really believe Blizzard thought Dragon Soul would be received better, but in some way it was a let down and the recycling of like 90% visuals from WOTLK was only a part of the problem, not really fighting Deathwing another one. Cata deserved a remarkable endboss like Ragnaros, Illidan, Kiljaeden or Lichking, but it got 3 pure Add fights back2back, yeah, all different from another, but what were they thinking?

The Twilight Highlands, a zone with an unique mix of The Shire from LOTR combined with eldritch corruption, which gives quite a peculiar flavor to it. Despite having strong lore on paper, and being the max level zone of its expansion, I feel most players forgets the place exists, and the interesting plotlines happening there were never used to their full potential. Grim Batol was criminally underused as a mere dungeon, The Twilight's Hammer was a joke compared to the Scourge or the Burning Legion and the Old Gods and Twilight Dragons implications went nowhere until BFA, which is another can of worms. But still, the intrigue of the zone cannot be denied, and I think this is another one that would have benefited greatly from having the current treatment of WoW's Zones. Say what you will about retail, but it's undeniable that today's zones are much better handled, managing to stay relevant the whole expansion, and even after it. Such a big comment hehe, but it is a huge trip down to memory lane! Thank you for your video Meisio, incredible as always!

No retail is boring and the zones only Look and Sound Good. No one with the slightest amount of Sense would tolerate the greedy gameplay that draws you deeper into the devils Circle of Bad and costy Entertainment
