Hahaha "because your skin is so soft and you smell so good?" That line is hilarious

This is the most Donna/James-friendly character breakdown I’ve seen. I don’t know why people dislike them so much.

I agree! I like them too!

Just wanted to say that I've been watching all of your analyses and these are fantastic!! I haven't watched the series for a few years and these videos are both helping me gear up for the new season and bringing up a lot of interesting points that I hadn't thought of before. Keep up the good work! :)

You pretty much nailed it here. The hatred James and Donna get aren't really from the characters themselves but how they were used in the latter part of the show.

I personally was pissed off at Donna for her scheme against Harold though.

It was pretty cruel and out of character for her. It might have worked if they showed her being distraught and totally obsessed with finding Laura's killer but that didn't really come across that way. She seemed a bit too in control and manipulative instead of miserable and desperate.

Michael Snow it was disgusting what they did to Harold and Donna was key. Harold was so sweet and he envisioned Donna to be everything good Laura made her out to be. To him, it was a lie. It was a slap in Laura's face. I liked Harold to have been her love interest. Or give the story to Audrey who would have treated him with respect.

Great video.Mark Frost did confirm that it was indeed Leland under BOBs Influence who attacked Doctor Jacoby at the Gazebo.

Thanks! That always confused me. I kept feeling like i missed something where they explained what happened to Jacoby.

Laura's death brought them together and maddies death tore them apart. Loved the Evelyn storyline. Really demonstrated donnas love for James.

Yesterday when you published this video it was 27 years to the day when the Twin Peaks pilot was first broadcast.Time as gone nowhere!

I understand why people don’t like them but I don’t think Twin Peaks would be Twin Peaks without James and Donna. I personally really like them

Love Donna's character and Lara Flynn Boyle's performance. James was okay and I thought the relationship made sense but I guess no guy would ever be good enough for Donna in my book. And I totally agree that Harold was one of the best characters on the show!

I don't like the fact that they killed him off way too soon. They should have kept him.

Donna and James were my two least favorite characters. Donna was boring. James was downright cringey. My skin crawled every time they were on screen I think DL was going for a James Dean character but he failed completely.

James is a parody of a rebel with out a cause archetype…
