For that second piece, you could maybe of used some knifeless tape to get a fine cut and then possibly used a little heat and squeegied the tape into the crevice. Difficult one, and also odd that that section appears to be plastic welded together to the chrome trim as you say.

Lol I was going to install all of these trims tomorrow, I’m glad I saw this video because that will not be happening now😂 insane for that center console one. I also have a carbon fiber piece for the gear selector. Hopefully it’s not too expensive to get done at a shop! Good video though man, you are extremely patient

Just changed the trims to the new ones. To change the center piece, I highly recommend just removing the center console - it’s not that hard and will take less time.. 😅

I have picked the same wrap already thanks for sharing its nice to know where all the clips are. I am not going to take the gear stick assembly apart I will just wrap the lot I have the patience of a Saint like yourself. Doing around the roof light and sun glass holder on the roof and my mirror s outside then a complete satin grey wrap

@@carretto13 I painted the plastic trim in my Tahoe years ago. The main thing is to be sure to use at least two coats of plastic primer, preferably three. Do a light dusting with the first coat. Then completely cover evenly with a second but not thick. Then apply the third coat, evenly. Then paint with two coats and apply a protective clear coat to protect the paint. Auto parts stores often sell paint to match OEM colors.

@@UltimateDIY that’s amazing, I watched the video when you done it, great that it’s still looking good 2 years later, I started watching your videos again, i am a big fan and have bought a few things you showcased on the channel, I’m Totally impressed that the wrap is still as good as the day you installed it, I drive an A5 and need to wrap the centre console which is a pain in the ass but some Chinese guys as offering a ready mage carbon overlay so might go that route but the rest of the car interior will be wrapped 👏👍👍👍

Hey bud, did you have issues with an airbag light after disconnecting the airbag connection near the radio display? I plugged mine back in and reassembled but the airbag light is still on

As far as I can remember this happens when you put on the contact while it's disconnected. To make 100% sure it does not happen, you can also disconnect the battery before. At least this is what I remember.

Probably not. The idea is the car should never have known you disconnected the button. Now that it knows you need a diagnose tool to reset the error.

Did you have your contact on while removing the airbag button? Or did you put your contact on while it was removed? That causes the error.

@@UltimateDIY not sure what you mean by contact. But all I did was remove the hazard light/airbag plug then plug it back in.

The contact is on when you put the key in the ignition, but you don't start the engine. If you "woke" up the car while the button was unplugged, the you get this error. Also, do not replace the button, there are more variants and if you install the wrong one, it will also create this error.

You need a VCDS interface to clear the error code I think. But I never got the error so I'm not sure.
