Thanks for defending the folks that are normally defending others, even while being misunderstood. And also for helping others understand our complex nature. Great content! Blessings!!

Love this video as I have a lot of Eights in my life. I can relate to feeling a bit offended by some of the bluntness, but at the same time, some of the very direct things said to me by an Eight I am related to allowed me to start moving on from a career choice that wasn’t working. They could see something I didn’t want to see and their direct approach ended up being a gift in my life. It just took some time to process and appreciate what they said, but it also empowered me to make some powerful changes. They gave me the gift of seeing my own power and it is difficult to overstate the significance of this contribution. I will continue to watch your videos on the Eight, Dr. Tom, as they do bring clarity and insights. I appreciate that these videos explore the good, the bad, and the ugly because in order to grow and get along with others, we need to embrace all of it. Full disclosure: I am a Four and Eights can be puzzled as to why Fours are so sensitive. They believe they are stating the facts and a Four can feel like their soul is being crushed even though it’s not the case😂It can be difficult to navigate but a challenge worth undertaking. I do find healthy Eights in my life to be some of the most wonderful people and again, they are truly a gift in my life. I think this video captures their positive traits well and can help us understand one of the most misunderstood Enneagram types.

@@jillmappin3316 You’re welcome, and I completely understand how you feel. Sending happy vibes your way, and I hope you are engaging in some soothing, self care activities when needed. As a Four that is probably something you are naturally very good at.

I don’t want to be that guy and my knowledge about typology is limited so I won’t argue too much over it but INXXs being type 8 is extremely unlikely and rare. Especially 8w7 which is basically the archetype of your opposite type. It’s way more likely you’re a 6, 5 or a 1. I suggest you look into those instead. Either that or maybe your MBTI result is the one that’s wrong.

It is very interesting to see ANY xNFJs as 8s, but I see here it exists...they seem so opposite, usually. Fe doms or auxs, and 8s are usually contradictory ofone another.

No but when you say get into character as well it’s so true my guy he kinda throws a fit when things aren’t done or a mess ( you know how 8s are ) but when he leaves his stuff I kinda just be like look your not perfect either but always in a considering way (imma 3 ) but he continues! one day he said you know you could pester me too I won’t be offended . The next time I got all into character , problem solved
