Awesome videos as always......Quick question, in your view, how do you think one can develop the art and intent part?

Hi Wapozga, glad you enjoyed the video :) Good question. Well, the easiest is of course to just take my course that should be available early next year :D But if you want some rough guidelines I'd say : _ The art part is really dependent on your references and how you manage them. We never create from scratch. So it's very important to have a very broad view of what is out there, and pick the references that speak to you and find ways of combining them into your own work with your own creativity. One big advice I'd give is to stay away from archviz images as references. Whether it's real life, paintings, writings, fashion, product design, street photography, etc, there are plenty of other mediums to draw inspiration from and incorporate in your own work to develop the "artistic" side. Archviz imagery are nice, but they are already an interpretation. The ideal goal is to work on your own interpretation, not an interpretation of an interpretation ;) _ Regarding the intent part, it comes down to a question of mindset (you're working for a client, not for yourself), and goal (you're trying to make an image that conveys something specific, not an image that is just pretty). Understanding what the intent of an image can almost only be learnt by experience by talking openly with your clients about what they are after. Translating that intent into imagery (which is basically what I call composition in my course) is also a matter of experience, but can also be fast tracked by paying attention to the structure of your image and shifting the goal of your image from "making a nice image" to "making an image that conveys what my client needs". Also, this shift should happen when you are picking references too. Instead of just thinking "this reference is cool, I'll put it on the side", you should dig a bit deeper and ask yourself "I like this reference image, why, and what can I extract from there exactly and to what purpose" so that later on when you are working on a specific project, you can draw this specific reference because it creates the effect you are looking for. Hope this gives you some rough directions :) All this takes a lot of time and practice, but the biggest thing in my opinion is the mindset shift so that you start looking at everything with a different goal in mind, and then you'll find it's way easier to incorporate all this into your personal work later on.
