I ride a 1996 honda cr 250r and i love it the motor is basically bullet prof i've had it for close to 3 years not 1 rebuild and it doesn't lag any power. ive ridden 4 stroke and 2 stroke, i love 2 strokes it suits my style but i wont judge for riding 4 stroke just don't talk crap about my bike.

Freddy Camacho There are a lot less parts in a 2 stroke, so there's less to buy, less time needed to do the work, and the work is less technically challenging.

I much prefer a 2T as its all I have riden for most of my life now I have a XR 250 it may not be even close to the power delivery of the 2T but in the end its all about getting out there and riding...but in all honesty LONG LIVE THE 2 stroke...that's imo...oh any bike being 2T or 4T can last a long time if you look after it and maintain it

2 strokes are still cool but, you gotta hand it to the 4-strokes, they are almost as light, with WAY more bottom end, and more top end. One big advantage is that you dont think the four stroke is gonna blow up all the time.$-stroke is overall the way to go now "a" days!

everyone thinks two strokes are unreliable. if you are like a pro and you are riding a 125 and you have it pinned all the time eventually it is going to wear out. and when they do wear out I would rather pay the 100 bucks to replace the top end rather than paying all the money to rebuild a 4 stroke engine

most trail 4ts are really reliable and go forever yess, but 250 and 450 race bikes are not so they require regular maintenance like 2ts, which costs more

I meant to say for pre-mix. And again, I can tell you have no racing experiance if you can stand there and say that a 2 stroke isn't harder to ride. Maybe not at first but towards the end if you're fatigued a 4 stroke is much easier to ride, you let the bike do most of the work and go but a 2 stroke you have to be on them all the time to be fast. I like 2 strokes more but that's one thing I noticed with my 4 strokes. Tracks are no longer longer and loamier, things that greatly help 2 strokes.
