Nah, the first one worked as advertised. Remember it was a stress RESLIENCE device, not a stress RELIEF device...e.g., wear it for a few hours a day, and you won't be stressed out afterwards because anytime you have stress you'll be thinking, "Well, at least I'm not constantly being shocked." And he's wrong about the "sleep" mode. It doesn't help you sleep, it helps you wake up. He totally had it backwards.

Exactly, this is why TENS units are pre-geled so dumb people don't forget. Even then they'll forget that you eventually have to replace the gel on the pad and refund. I guess you could say well why didn't they pre-gel the product? And to that I would say because they assumed if they included the gel in the box, that you'd be smart enough to figure it out or google it. P.S The gel is also there to and I quote "protect you from getting burns." He could've burned his skin or caught his beard on fire or something not using it.
@Hendlton
@Hendlton Ай бұрын
@@Thatonefuckinguy The gel just spreads out the contact area. The main purpose of it is to lower the electrical resistance of the top layer of skin because otherwise not much current can flow. Without it you have the same amperage going through a smaller area which can cause a burn, but it definitely wouldn't have caught his beard on fire.

The foot bath thing is even worse when you know that a foot bath with epson salts actually is a medical procedure for dealing with calluses and injuries on your feet, so technically the "foot bath" does work, but not because of the bath itself, you could get the same effect with a kitchen pot if you wanted to. As for the massage pen, most likely the pain you were experiencing was because you were putting the electrical charge directly on a nerve ending in just the right way.

I have a real vagal nerve stimulator implanted, for depression. It's been great. I usually don't feel anything, but if I rest quietly and pay attention I can feel a slight sensation, not at all painful. It fires every 5 minutes for 30 seconds, 24/7/365. Don't confuse a real VNS with that bogus contraption, which only causes muscle contraction, not stimulation of the vagus nerve.

They've actually tested that stuff scientifically, it's nonsense of course. But in the experiment, they got people who believe it works and all, and one at a time put them in a room filled with totes. Five of them had water in them, and their task was to correctly identify them. Unsurprisingly, the results were the people being mostly wrong and only occasionally getting one right. I'd link it, but I think youtube would immediately censor this comment, because youtube doesn't like comments with links.

For the foot spa; the salt in the water isn't to detoxify you, it's to help with conductivity and cause the electrodes to rust quicker, thus causing the water to look disgusting - that's what the salt is for. I know in professional foot detoxification stores (high-end scammers), they add crystals that react to the electrolysis that creates an awful looking pool of water. I've reported loads of these on Amazon and they just don't care. That's all it is, rust. You're dipping your feets in rusty water, which isn't exactly good for them.

Vagus nerve stimulation is used in treatment of severe epilepsy and occasionally in severe depression. My daughter has an implanted VNS for her epilepsy. She was actually laughing at you and said "it's not that bad." Of course she's had hers for around 8 years, and it's had to be surgically replaced twice. The look on your face with the pain section was similar to the look she had the very first time she felt it coming out of anesthesia.

13:30 gotta admit - im a miniature painter i spend alot of time with my brushes and get cramps in my hands regularly. so that pen is really useful after a stresful day of work. you seem to be in a good shape considering your muscle tension if you feel something "akward" but no real pain. but for me it makes the pain go away especially since i get tremors and feelings of numbness now that im 40 and working with my hand muscles every day. my wife is a massage therapist and uses several electrical tools that are even used at the institute she works at. so yeah just see it as a sign that you are in good shape my friend ;)

4:40 finally something i have personal experience with. devices like this are generally targeted to people who have pain and/or loss of sensation. the slight shocks given off stimulate the nerves and muscles. i used to use a TENS unit as part of physical therapy for my arm after a car accident- i lost feeling in part of my hand (the damage to the nerve was at the elbow, which is why the TENS unit was put on my arm, not my hand). yes it feels weird but you have it turned too high if it legitimately hurts (it’ll feel weird). you’re not supposed to use TENS units on the neck bc the skin is too thin. for me, i can’t feel anything till i reach a level 6 but someone who can feel a level 1 should never go higher than a level 1. so tldr; it works great for the people who legitimately have a reason to use it. bestie here does not

I don't know about Pulsetto, however there have been some positive research that has come out of tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation), just not enough for anyone to say it does or doesn't work. It's early days and I can see why people would be sceptical. I have used tDCS and the results varied. I felt really spaced out and relaxed during and for several hours afterwards, however I'm not sure how much it helps after your brain/body gets use to it. It's not something I'd even begin to advise someone trying unless they've tried everything else (seeing an actual doctor/specialist and going down all medical routes first). I'm not entirely sure how stimulating the neck would help with anything. I have to admit I did cringe a little when Tyler used it without the gel lol. His caveman style antics are funny though - Tyler, don't ever change how you do things, you're hilarious \o/

Some facts: Studies have found that vagus nerve stimulation paired with rehabilitation helped improve function in people who had a stroke. It also may help people who have problems with thinking and swallowing after a stroke. Research is ongoing. Some health insurance carriers may not pay for this procedure

Tyler. My knees do the same. It's called Chondromalacia. The cartilage in my knee didn't harden as a kid and into my teens and I played a lot of football (British football) had a lot of knee impacts and minor injuries. That sore my cartilage away slightly and now it's hardened it creeks and crunches when I bend down. Even now if I go for a jog or play football my knees swell up and its uncomfortable. They haven't caused me any major issue in the last 5 years except bending while carrying 40+ kilos I deliver quite heavy stuff up stairs and they're fine. But I kick a ball and I'm out of action for a day

@@globallunacy2473 I will go out of my way to buy things local if I can. I still buy way too much on Amazon, but if I can find something local, I'll go get it, for not only the reason that you stated (you can see it), but also because it keeps the money local. It's a shame that so many stores are carrying less and less items.
