A private fish room tour of the well known goldfish breeder a showman William “Bill” Ramsden.
Bill takes us on a tour of his fish house and shows us the many varieties of fancy goldfish he keeps, breeds and wins shows with.
His Bristol shubunkin are renowned world wide.
After leading a remarkable life Bill Ramsden is now the president of the Northern Goldfish and Pondkeepers Society. 95 years old at the time of publishing this video.

I have a giant Shubunkin in my pond. Its easy over a 1lb. And mainly blue its a stunner. I bought it as a sprat. But when l saw it that was for me. I've just bred it with my goldfish. I keep the fry in a Pyrex dish. No air pump, nothing. I've about 20 strong left from about 50 initially. So thats not bad. Steady away , water changes. Nothing special. They are happy enough. Folk just go crazy when it's all simple. Look at all Bills stunners. I have a small tank by the way. Waiting.

Jamie was trying to encourage me to join aquarists clubs. His reasoning behind that was there are so many experienced members and due to their age, their knowledge needs to be passed to new members. I’d love hearing about the continuous drip feed from the mains tap water, I started doing the same about 4 months ago in my greenhouse ponds and the difference in the fish is very obvious, faster growth, better health it’s incredible. These are stunning fish and look so healthy, beautiful.

People tell me I exchange my water too much but my fish are always healthy . I use the fish water for watering all my plants
