Listen, it's easy enough to make 10 or so minute of a fight scene but a fully planned out 1-2 hour live action with a plot? Not so much. Even the dialogue was cringey at times. Even if this man did make a live action you would still assess it on different standards because it's a fan project. You can't really compare it to live actions with that level of differentiation and bias.
@Evilofhumanity2 жыл бұрын
@@kuroarts6139 I was actually refferring to the fight scenes, but the thing is, yes, they were only trying to work on the fight scenes. But my problem with other live actions stems from the fact that they do a shitty job at following the source material (Most of the time), not really the fight scenes. And if whoever is in charge gives more time and puts in a little more money, the fight scenes can actually be good like this. If these people decided to make a live action, yes it would be a fan project, but I feel like it would be better because they wouldn't do any of the dumb things I mentioned like not looking into source material enough and giving themselves the proper amount of time to make the special effects work. I feel like the only problem would be the lines being cringey, but that's a problem with live action as a whole, not just one or two works (Lines they say in anime are always cooler in Anime, but in real life? Meh...)

We have an entire first season outlined with a ton of new classmates, teachers and villains that we hope to one day bring to you all. Unfortunately, we can't just continue the series ourselves because it would take too much time, effort & money (sadly, we all have to work haha). After finishing the UA pilot during the summer in LA, I had to head off to work in Sydney beginning last November (though I can't legally say for which movie). I'll be out here until around mid May -- But I'm planning on doing a short fight scene (for fun over a weekend or two) while I'm out here with a few of the talented martial arts performers that I've been fortunate enough to meet and work with on this job. I love the depth we get from Backtrack's quirk just by watching like a minute long flashback. First of all, it seems like his quirk is a sort of variation of his mom's quirk. I'm guessing she could teleport any objects she chose to any given location within a certain range. Whereas Bactrack does the opposite and teleports himself to an object. But that's the obvious stuff. I find the potential of his quirk to be more interesting. Teleporting to his keychain is already a broken enough ability, but I doubt it's actually limited to that. He's currently limited to the keychain because it has the most sentimental value to him, and he unlocked his quirk for the first time when that sentiment was being threatened. At some point I can see him unlocking the ability to teleport to multiple things of personal value to him, or hell, maybe just any object in his surroundings. This is all just a crackpot theory based on the minimal evidence given in the video, but that's the fun of these sorts of things.

This could work. This is the problem with Hollywood anime adaptations - they're always trying to re-do the original. Making a spin-off instead means the creators have more leeway in defining the setting, the characters, the premise, the story. Anime is deeply rooted in Japanese culture and it's basically impossible to bring this culture to the US. It's not enough to say "Deku is now American" and then do the same story beat by beat. This is merely 15 minutes worth of story and we already have a clash of characters, clash of ideologies, deep backstory to multiple characters and impressive fight scenes with just as impressive VFX and a nice reference to All Might shouts which also stands on its own. It's the exact opposite of what Hollywood does and it deserves to be made into at least 8 episodes series.

How "Backtrack" is such a good name and a play off of the word backpack. That his mom is shown to have some kind of teleportation quirk too and he inherited a variation of it. The fake-out with the backpack throw upwards near the end of the first fight. The analogy of the child bullies to the villains in the present when he teleports. Veil uses his quirk in the opening before you know what it is. The music and the mid fight quirk explanations. Everything about it is just so incredibly well done.

That twist made the entire fight. They focused on it, faking us out to it being a nod to the Anime but NOPE it's the actual trick. Amazing.

I kind of thought his power was like Minato’s teleportation thing from Naruto. Like he could teleport to anything he touched recently or something. The fact that it was the keychain specifically was such a great twist. Also kind of makes me wonder more about the specifics of his power though, and why he can only seemingly teleport to his keychain. Writing wise, I personally think it gives the character a lot of room to grow if they learn how to teleport to other things as well.

In the anime we see that abilites evolve over time and in the Vigilantes spin off we can see a better example of that when the MC *SPOILER* finds out his quirk is actually more gravity related than just magnetism making him able to shoot energy blasts and double jump instead of just hover above ground like we see at the beginning *END OF SPOILER* so playing by those rules MC here could probably pinpoint any object in the future.

This is amazing because of 2 things 1: they don’t copy mha like the main guy doesn’t have green hair like deku 2: And they use the fact that 80 percent of the world has quirks so this is like mha but in USA so while deku and all might are doing there thing these guys are doing this in the USA like heiki says “these American students“ like he came from Japan

But then again dragon ball evolution did the exact same thing.. nobody looked like the characters they were supposed to be. I am only glad they learned from that and didnt make this look like that failure

*db evolution* "ThIS is wHaT aN AnIMe mOVie LoOks likE" *UA:LA with like no budget* This is what fans really want.

Curious Wars You can tell that this was made by fans of the series. Not only is it super well made, but it clearly understands the core themes of MHA and actively expands the world of the story and builds great characters. In my mind now, there’s absolutely a UA:LA branch in the MHA world. This is what good fan content does. It makes the source material even better while standing on its own merits.

Did I miss the crowfunding for a full season of this adaptation? Need to be done if you won't before! The real good thing always comes from your kind of creator.

Bruh, there was even backstory in the form of a montage to show the character's motivation. That was perfect MHA!

Honestly, got chills when the mom gave him the keychain. It's inspirational and uplifting just like the anime. Real shit man. Love it.
