A reminder that according to "The Essential Guide to Warfare: Star Wars", 2012 - less than 1% of stormtroopers were female. Taking for example that the 291st Legion had 3 females at 8,192 troopers and some, like the 501st, not having any, this game is hilariously inaccurate. Or decided to put all of them in the path of the player.

What's funniest about this is that THERE IS a taser in this game! It's an upgrade you can unlock. Kay uses the taser to take down the security droids, deathtroopers and Gamorreans. So the developers thought about a taser, but for some reason decided NOT TO make it a default weapon for takedowns. Instead, Kay just takes down everyone, including armored enemies and Imperial stormtroopers, with goofy ahh punches. It's one of the most bizarre design choices I've ever seen. Even MJ in those infamous Spider-Man missions uses a taser!

As a far cry gamer (which is a ubisoft title) the ai was always a bit simpler. But even older far cry games have better ai than this. Reminder. As the title states this is a ubisoft title. How?

There are probably a few different reasons. One of them is that Ubisoft games are just getting worse overall. They are very basic, superficial and they don't have strong mechanics. Another thing is that the stealth genre fell out of grace. Proper stealth games with good AI and deep mechanics are very few and far between. Nowadays, stealth is not even treated as a separate genre, but a simplified mechanic that is a small part of a bigger game. Pretty much every open-world game nowadays has some stealth compontent like hiding in the tall grass and silent takedowns. It's done out of habit, because people got used to the fact you can be stealthy in games, but the devs don't do anything to make this mechanic actually engaging or interesting. Which is a shame because stealth gameplay can be pretty amazing if done right. Even old Ubisoft games like Splinter Cell: Blacklist had really fun stealth systems. I don't think I ask for too much when I say that Outlaws should have taken inspiration from 'Blacklist'. There are so many cool mechanics you can use to make the stealth experience more interesting. Animals that can sniff you out, so you are forced to be on the move; drones that can detect you, cameras, different types of enemies, some of which cannot be easily taken down or others that are more persistent in looking for you. Stuff like that! A better skillset for Kay would go a long way, too! Imagine if we had some cool gadgets like throwing knives, throwable lures, taser mines, electric/poison darts, stun grenades, sleeping gas etc. I also think Kay should have been more agile. If she could climb walls and parkour to elevated positions like in 'Assassin's Creed' (or at least 'Blacklist'), the encounters would be much more interesting.

The footage was recorded before the latest patch. Yes. The AI has been slightly improved, but not much to be honest. This mission is also kind of unique, because there are a lot of scripted events that are easy to break. For example, the stormtroopers in the first scene are scripted to run past you. But if you caught their attention, they would act like absolute morons.
