Question. I really love the blue keyboard version of this but it doesn’t have polyphonic after touch. Will I miss that feature a lot if I don’t get the s6 desktop?

If you have another controller that does polyphonic after touch you can use that. If it’s really something that you need then desktop version with a controller will be the way to go. You can get the desktop in blue, although I prefer the original colour. The keyboard version in blue looks amazing though.

What makes the Super 6 any better than the Summit? There’s quite a price difference, isn’t there?

Is there? They look roughly the same price for a desktop 6 and a Summit. Never used a Summit, although I have a Peak, which I absolutely love. Super 6 is more immediate, no menu diving like the Peak to get into the mod matrix etc. Peak is a far deeper synth, due to the menu diving, with lovely FX. Peak is probably better value for the money but the Super 6 has a sound all of its own, which I absolutely love.

If you had to choose between the Iridium and the Super Six?

Aaarrrgh! Don’t make me do this! Iridium is more versatile, some nice fx, has a great screen, 5 LFOs and envelopes, better mod matrix, 3 oscillators, granular synth, more wave tables but there is just something special about the 6. I can’t do it, don’t make me choose. I love both my kids equally!

I actually sent back Iridium and got Super 6. Best decision ever.
