let me just say: youre amazing. been looking and looking for videos where they actually explain what they are doing instead of expecting you to just know what they are doing. actually helping me understand how i could use these things on my own instead of just copy pasting and then getting absolutely lost in whatever the f i did. great video

Great tutorial - it appears that the enable and disable collision on attach and detach component/actor is preventing the Interactable to drop when clicking the grip button. I have removed the set collision on both and it appears to be working again? is it because when you activate the collision again it's getting stuck on the motion controller collision box?

Dude, great video but you go WAY too fast, trying to follow what you are doing is pretty difficult. Thanks for the vid though! :)

(I am using the VR template) With the adding motion controllers, does this mean that where you have put the cube I should just put the VR skeletal hands? or not?
@indieartsmidwest40425 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with your question. I assumed that the story would start with the VR template rather than first person. I guess you could try and import the first person template but I started looking through the blueprints for VR. Noticed that it only references the right hand as the primary. In the BP_MotionCntroller, the scale of the right hand is inverted to create the left hand. So whatever ways you choose to incorporate this into you project might involve messing with those parts of the BP. That is unless you've already figured out how to make it work.
