Thanks mate. Going back to gym after almost 2 years break has made me realized how much strenght I had lost. My recovery is so bad, even when lifting baby weights. For some reason using cables for back work out helps me to get the mind-muscle connection back, plus due to good strech I don't get that sore.It's so good to be back at the gym again, but boy those first few weeks were tough.

These are amazing from my back and really helps with how my right shoulder blade been winging out. Cabinet maker here so constantly lifting units and the bench work can really do a number on it. Love the music too.

As an older lifter (61), purchasing a quality functional trainer has kept me involved in strength training. Due to a shoulder injury, it became impossible to lift heavy, that's never going to be possible for me again because the shoulder will never be back to what it was. I'll never bench 350 again, probably never safely push over 100 on the bench, when I get to that number, I can feel my shoulder warning me to back off. Cable machines give a great workout that's unique. Performing standing presses, rows, face pulls, etc., requires full engagement of not just the muscles you're targeting, but also the muscles and stabilizers through the entire front and back chain of your body. The day after the first hard push workout I did, I woke up with soreness in the soles of my feet, not walking around all day ache, but the delayed onset muscle soreness you get in your chest, back, arms and legs after a hard workout. Heavy is out for me, however, due to the even and constant resistance and level of muscle engagement, I'll attain a different sort of fitness level, one I've never achieved with free weights or non-cable machines.
@UlissesWorld3 ай бұрын
Brother, I hear you loud and clear, and I'm genuinely inspired by your dedication to keep pushing through, despite the challenges with your shoulder. It's all about adapting and finding what works for you, and it sounds like you've done just that with your functional trainer and cable workouts. Cable machines are indeed a game-changer, especially for those of us who need to be mindful of joint health and injuries. The constant tension they provide allows for a more controlled movement, reducing the risk of further injury while still allowing you to engage and strengthen those muscles effectively. It's fantastic that you're experiencing such comprehensive muscle engagement, even feeling it in the soles of your feet! That's the kind of full-body activation that really transforms our fitness. You're absolutely right about achieving a different sort of fitness level with cables. They help you maintain muscle mass and joint health, which are crucial as we age. The beauty of this journey is discovering new ways to stay fit and healthy, adapting our methods as our bodies and circumstances change. Keep listening to your body, respect those limits, and continue to explore the variety of exercises that cables offer. It’s not just about lifting heavy, it’s about staying healthy, strong, and active. You're setting a powerful example, showing that progress isn't halted by age or setbacks-it's reshaped by them. Keep up the great work, and let's keep making those gains, no matter the method!

I really gotten super fond of cables now that I found Ulisses. If so many variations about 15 per video that you can do shoulders one day back another arms and other chest and other some free weights and then go to the cables. Great job and keep it going! Plus you got to say for the bonus at the end am I right?

Thank you very much for showing me your routine I have difficulty doing my upper because I have a normal size right hand and length of arm but my left arm the elbow has been frozen since I was 11 years old and I have a tiny hand they did surgery when I was 11 to try and repair but they ended up taking out my wrist bone and never completing the surgery I have always had difficulty but nothing has stopped me I lift weights I have one big muscle bicep on my right arm the small one on my left one what are yous is a ankle strap it has a hook on it and I put it around my left arm why are used weights I can't lift very heavy but trying to shape the muscle to make it strong in my arm I get up every morning extremely early and hit the gym by 5 a.m. I am there until 11 constantly working out every single day sometimes the men just stare at me and scratch their head because I'm doing things that I was told I can't do and I don't believe in that word I can't do it I believe everything is possible I have no trainer I can't afford one so I'm on my own trying to build my body in shape my body is well when I use the weight pulleys on my left end I try and loosen attendant that has been frozen since I was a child it's painful but yet I see progress and the shape of the upper arm as well I got excited when I had noticed that I'm growing a muscle that has never been there in losing a whole lot of weight and shaping my body thank you for your videos I figure they are for men mostly I enjoy watching and learning thank you God bless you and your family

On lat pull-downs, should you not try to isolate the lat more and use less bicep? As you rotate your wrist, it seems you you engage the bicep more taking away from the lat.
