I tried this cake today without Frangelico. And it tastes super yummy. .If any one like chocolate please give it a try. Super easy to make with very clear instructions. Even its batter smells yummy and while baking my whole house was smelling awsome. Thanks Tatyana.

thank you for the recipe , i made it yesterday and it was all gone today by midday lol, it's killer !!! i have just changed the frosting, i substituted the butter with mascarpone and double cream mixed together, it was amazing !!! thank you.one more time

I bakes this cake and it came out perfect! It exactly tasted like Ferrero rocher chocolates! I did not use any hazelnut extract or frangelico and I didn't feel it needed them! Thanks for the recipe! I'm a huge fan of your cakes!

I really wanna make this cake but I don't wanna use alcohol. I looked for hazelnut extract but couldn't find any.. Is there anything I can use that can replace the hazelnut extract ?

I had the same issue I will use hazelnut syrup hopefully that should also keep the cake moist and still be okay for us to eat

I just used coffee 62% superalcoholic 3 shots. could barely taste it. was very nice. try it with alcohol, worth the try.

Ok I am gonna HAVE TO bake this! 😇 QUESTION: Did you water down the hazelnut liquor you poured over each layer? About how much liquor will the recipe require for moistening the cake layers? Thanks for your feedback!

I didn't water mine down but if you can certainly dilute it, maybe half and half... I used about 1 cup. :)

Guys anyone wanting to make cake and doesn't know what recipe or what type of cake to go for.I garuntee u if u try this u would fall in love with this cake even if u guys aren't fan of nuts. I made it for a special occasion and I was a but nervous but it turned out to be heaven. I made this cake for my moms birthday and it was kinda.. eh. Everyone just kept saying it was too sweet. I also did not like the waffle cookie idea. I decided I just need to alter the recipe a bit, this time im going to use waffle sheets instead of crumbling cookies. Im also going to use more alcohol and put less sugar.

+wan hezry I do highly recommend whisking the egg whites separately. They will give the cake batter the volume and airiness that you need :)

Thank god! I thought I was the only one that had this problem, I eat half of my cakes and baked goods ( especially if its chocolate) before I even put them in the oven. My favourite thing in the world is Ferrero rocher or Nutella, so I am definitely making this for my birthday.

I love your food processor but can’t get it in Queensland Australia and it would be too dear to get sent over from America ….😏 I’m making a similar type cake for my Grand daughters 13th birthday next month but without the Frangelico, what could I use as a substitute?

Do you have Amazon? Maybe you can find it there... Instead of the Frangelico, you can use a hazelnut extract mixed with sugar water, or a hazelnut syrup. Enjoy!

Hi Tatyana ! If i replace the frangelico liquior to hazelnut extract in the batter is it still same amount 2 tablespoon of extract? And also to moist the cake what is the measurement of hazelnut extract dilluted in strong coffee? I hope you will answer me ☺ thank you

Hi! You can certainly replace with hazelnut extract but you'll need only a 1 teaspoon since it's very strong. Same for the coffee! enjoy :)

i made this cake and it was surprisingly easy yet show stopping! I've never met a single person who dislikes Ferrero rocher so this is a guaranteed hit wherever you take it. I made it specifically for an office party and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful night. Thank you so much for this recipe kiddo! Keep up the good work. I thumbed up the video by the way! I'm not good with all this tech stuff but I hope it helps. I always hear youtubers say to do it haha.

+nayli zabidin Hi! You can replace the hazelnut liquor with hazelnut extract diluted in some strong coffee, or replace with coffee. The liquor does add a lot of flavor so I do recommend adding either the liquor or extract

Replace it with simple syrup. In a pot equal parts sugar and water. People use it to moist the cakes

Try replacing just half with cream cheese to get a good consistency :)

You can also use hazelnut-flavored syrup :)

+Aicha Roasted hazelnuts will usually be darker in color and have a nutty, roasted aroma :)

Hi Tatyana. I made this cake few days ago and the taste was like real Ferrero Rocher candy. I like the cake although would still like to do few changes and need your advice. I would definitely replace wafer cookies with something else for crunchiness. I used ice-cream sugar corn instead and it gets sort of chewy and hard after 2 days.it looses crunchy part. Can I use Hazelnut Meringue (the one you made in EPIC Cake) instead of cookies? Will that go well with this cake? Or maybe you have other idea about crunchy filling that doe not get soggy and soft? I need this cake to last at least a week. Thank you in advance.

+Jazmin Torres Milk chocolate will also work but with dark chocolate you will get a more rich and darker cake :)

Hello! Me and my sister loved this recipe so much. My only concern is the hazelnut liquor you poured in the cake. In my hometown it is expensive, can we do the cake without it, or maybe you have another suggestion?

You can also try using hazelnut syrup, like the type they use in coffee drinks :)

I love ur this recipe, of cake like I loved ur maple berries cake. I had made it just switch the berries with apple pie filling. Just have a quick question could I switch the butter with oil or 50/50 oil and butter in the cake batter? I want to make it for my son’s birthday on 17th. I always loved ur cake recipe. Just don’t want to mass up the cake and end up buying from store for that why asking 😊😅😅 also can I skip the alcohol or use hazelnut syrup instead

That's awesome! I'm so glad you enjoyed the cake with apple pie filling! I haven't tried this recipe with oil instead of butter but it should work well, too. And yes, you can skip the alcohol and use a hazelnut syrup instead. Hope everyone loves the cake! The cake layers will be very fragile so allow them to cool down, then handle them

Hi! I recommend splitting the batter in half and baking the second half later if you have just one pan. Baking all the batter at once will result in uneven baking

For this recipe, I recommend sticking with butter. This cake will be on the heavier side so make sure to soak the layers generously with the syrup

You can use other nuts in this recipe, too. Almonds would also work well. You'll need to add about 1 cup of flour
