If you hope to do this 100 mile ride in one day, it can be challenging to know exactly what you might need especially if you're doing it self-supported.
That's why the BABs (Lacey, Natalia and Rachel) decided to ride it themselves and document the entire thing...including the good, bad and ugly. We hope our ultimate guide makes prepping for this epic adventure a little easier on you than it was for us!
Check out the full blog post with info on camping, nutrition, gear, weather, permits, route options and more here:

We did it in 18 hrs. Life changing ride. Nice work. We traveled clockwise. Climbed up from mineral bottom rode to Schafer and ended at mineral bottom. Also without support. It was ten years ago now. You will remember it for at least ten years. Guaranteed!

We couldn’t forget it if we wanted to! Glad you enjoyed the video! We debated if that direction would be harder, but are too scared to figure it out for ourselves lol

Thanks Victor for watching! Heading toward Mesa Verde this weekend and will "follow you down but not that far" if you recall. Ha!

@@BABsOutside I remember Mesa Verde well. You poor kids must've been bored to death having to visit Native American sites and not amusement parks. I'm sorry for not going to Disneyland! ✌️

@@VPOTUSA It was the trip of a lifetime - and motivated a life of adventure and exploration as well as a move out west. Disneyworld sucks in comparison.

You’re total badasses. I’ve ridden White Rim twice but on a motorcycle. Can’t imagine doing it on a bicycle. Kudos.

I can only dream to do this. I can’t imagine the level of fitness is needed to accomplish this. You ladies are amazing. Plus you are filming too...I know that takes energy. The accomplishment and breathtaking views makes it worth it. Loved the video! Have you made logo stickers yet?

Not yet! We all got a little busy prepping for our bike packing adventure in the Kokopelli! And you can totally do this!

The best way I’ve done it that gave me the fastest time was to start just north of the park entrance on the green River side and ride clockwise. I stashed my Camelback and extra water at the top of the Schaeffer Trail switchbacks so that I wouldn’t have to carry it up from mineral bottom. Just a thought!

Did this in a day when I was younger with some friends too, but we had a friend hike in supplies and water to mile 60ish. Would not have been able to complete it without it, so your squad are badasses for doing it unsupported. Great job.
