as a sona main who also uses seraphine, sera cant beat sona as a support. I can carry my team using sona even tho the jungle is quite dumb for not doing DRs. BUUTTT, Sera is a strong champ that's quite easy to master. Her CD is very low compared to other champs, her range is also insane, i bet she can beat lux in botlane as support.

I’ve played a few games with her last night and I highly recommend her to any support trying to find their next champion. She was built as a solo lane mage, but the utility in her kit is far too good to be overlooked in this role. I recommend her to be tried top mid and bot as well as she seems like she can be played across the map in most any role and still be effective. I played her with two rune pages, a glacial page and a guardian page. Aery and Comet seem to be her most popular pages right now, but her base damage is already fine so I, personally, would like to see her be used with more utility. Her Glacial page is insanely strong. If you’re playing with an adc that already provides slows in lane this may be redundant or if the enemy team has more burst or an aggressive bot combo you may want guardian, otherwise this page goes well in a comp that is looking for picks, more engage options, or you just want to be more aggressive. You want to spend your lane phase hovering at 2 note stacks, your trade pattern is w>aa>e>aa>q>aa. This should deal a ton of damage, get a stun onto your target and allow your ad to catch up and contribute. It’s hard to be traded back onto as you start the engagement with a shield and they can’t effectively run as you have glacial, an extended range on your aa, and extra ms. Grabbing glp or twin shadows should be your first item into either liandry’s, zhonya’s, or locket (I tried redemption but it was too inconsistent, either my misuse of the item or burst damage took out my team too fast). The Guardian page was less effective in dominating the game in the same way, however her increased utility would do extremely well in a coordinated environment, I feel. It stifled gank attempts and is a very strong option when playing her as an enchantress. I went ardent into locket the few games I went this path, but I believe athene’s may be a more viable choice as a first item into ardent... I didn’t run into mana problems mid-late game even without athene’s. So far, I’ve been taking E first, her Q feels bad on full hp targets and the snare/stun is too good early levels. Not to mention the range on her e feels longer than it should be. It is a slow projectile, but you’ll hit people just with how long the skill shot is. Ultimately, for support, I think taking E first and maxing Q>W>E will be the way to go. If you’re playing a more damage focused build just Q>E>W like everyone else. I just want to put it in here that her play style is nothing like sona despite her abilities having similarities. Most of her abilities feel slow and hitting them with consistency will take a little bit of getting used to. I think she’s a great addition to the roster, I’m a little worried about how riot will choose to tone her down, as she stands her raw numbers are too strong and her concept encourages a “lulu top”or “zilean mid”-esque champion. She’s far too flexible in the number of roles she can fill... which is why I recommend all roles to try her and feel comfortable with her. She is an excellent flex as she is and if riot keeps her this way having her in your pool can open a lot of doors in clash or coordinated environments.

The ''fixed'' seraphine splash looks nice and not like an actual sg skin but riot won't change it because they would have to go through her model too. Also she isn't supposed to feel neither like Piltover or Zaun I think because she is supposed to be a bridge not a rich kid towards zaun. Which isn't exactly working since she is a star with a hextech platform imo but that's besides the point.

Surprisingly, she doesn't perform that bad in the jungle. She has a nasty lvl 2 gank if you prep your echo on the buff. In my opinion, it is better to run Glacial when playing jungle for added gank potential. It feels like playing Lillia but with more range.

Thing to mention is that rylai's is probably the strongest item on her because it makes her E always root because it applies the rylai's slow then her E slow so you dont need to rely on other sources or her echo to root, its been like this on the pbe since day 1 and is still working like that after her launch

I mean I can see why your upset but in the end this channel looks at her gameplay as if it was any other champ. Plus i can tell it’s not obvious but there’s still a lot of people her like her kit and her as a character so saying no one wants a character like this is just your opinion. In my opinion on her I can see why people dislike her so much. But people are being rather overdramatic about her lore as well as her design. However gameplay is always gonna be pretty serious and I can see why people can find her OP or “cancer.” I also understand the idea of her getting three skins and how she was advertised to be made for money. However I find it a very interesting and innovative way to advertise and it was very successful up until lore problems and the fact she was getting 3 different skins. That’s the only thing I have the most offense with. I’d much rather her “ultimate skin” money and effort be put into the other KDA skins like having them all get a prestige skin or possible one of them being a legendary. I don’t think she was made for money and I really found the way they advertised to be really fun and interesting. But her ultimate skin is kinda no excuse.

@@Nisuco It is hard to explain and sorry for my broken english. Without Rylai = When target is not slowed, it will slow him AFTER that spell lends. This is how Rylai works on every champion, you hit a spell and THEN the target is slowed. However with Rylai in this scenario = it acts as if the target was slowed before the spell even hit that champion. There is a little problem with triggers I guess the item has priority and then it focuses on the spell, it should work the other way around Spell, item, in that case it wouldnt cause much trouble. I'm not talking about hitting Q then E, btw. You can just use E without the echo and it roots the enemy instantly for those who do not understand.

Her w will heal herself but it’s drastically less since it heals for missing health so the shield she gets makes her get less health back since it’s for sure every W cast. Also she only heals herself when she herself is shielded. Hope this helped

I played some Sera on pbe. What I think is, BOT Sera is the best place for her. In current meta, she is really weak on mid. Her skills are quite dodgeable and she can be easily all-ined. For support she has way to low base values (think something like Sona) , but seriously, you never want to see your supp being something like Ori, Syndra, Zoe etc. yet all of them can provide more early then Sera. When you play her bot, you can have someone with shield (so heal on your W) and CC for landing easy E and 2x Q. You don't really need something cc heavy as Leona or Naut, because after throwing your skills you are not much of a use anyway. Seraphine works really well with Rakan. You also get to use your passive notes from the start of the game.

When a target is rooted, they can't cast any mobility spells, including flash, meaning you allow both you and your team to easily follow-up

What Neversaw said and also there's a minimal movement speed (125 I think) that you literally can't go under. A root is essencially a 0 MS while a 99% slow only sets the target's movement speed to 125.

I feel like Seraphine can build Ardent 2-3 item even as midlaner. There is a lot of ad aa champs in the meta and very often adc, top and jgl are champs that can really benefit from it. Her W range is huge (higher then Janna's R) , so everybody can get it easily. One major downside is huuuuuge W cd. But by that time you would be probably at 40%cdr so it will be on 15.6s cd (if W is at 1 rank, which you max last) but if you proc W heal, you can reapply ardent, making it 2.5s+6s. So uptime is more than 50% 2-3 item is the time when players start to group a lot, Ardent price is much lower than Rabadon's yet can provide more benefit. So i think it's worth a try if your teammates aren't 0-7 across every position

I don't think you should ever max W even as a secondary, it doesn't scale with points the only thing you get is lower cd by 1 second. Maxing E>Q>W for support is probably best

A support Seraphine should probably never use her Q other than note stacking. You don't want the kills as a support and while the damage is nice it really kicks up as an execute which you definitely do not want. Also going from 22 seconds to 18 seconds is pretty significant when with some haste you can always have the shield, the movement speed *and* the heal.
