I just discovered Winsol Super Slip. Picked up a bottle on a whim while shopping for my window washing supplies. Only used it for one day, but I am already sold! I added it to my regular solution of a bucket of water with a squirt of 7th Generation dish soap and a splash of clear ammonia. I used Joy for years, but gave 7th Generation a try on my son's recommendation and I liked it enough to switch. But this Super Slip works on another level. Not only does the rubber glide with ease, but there are no streaks at all. I wasn't using fresh rubber either, there were a few hours on them. I watch glass like a hawk for streaks while I'm washing, and Super Slip left none. Didn't matter if I was fanning or pulling from the edge. So now I wonder if the stuff will extend the life of my squeegee rubber. That would be another plus.

I think you can add this to any soap combo. I can't imagine NOT using it. It just makes everything easier. I use about 1oz/gal...even for interior.

Great vid! Winsol Super Slip goes in every bucket always! Winsol AC100 is SUPER gentle on hands if you have issues. It also does a great job breaking down adhesives. Let it set for a couple of minutes and razor off. Great soap with fairly low suds. Adding GG4 to this mix adds extra "oomph" and a little extra suds. Recommend. This is a great trio. Also adding a tiny squirt of Dawn adds more slip as well. All of these products are really cheap if you calculate by the bucket. Whatever you use will also depend on the brand/type of rubber you're using...and temp/season. This makes a difference. Two years of constant experimentation and I'm still learning.

The story behind the joy soap , high rise, Window cleaners . Back in the 60s High rise window cleaner in California used TSP this is before dishwashing soap was used . In Los Angeles the buildings were being decorated with tile on the outside of the structure. The Window Cleaning union was afraid that the TSP was going to stain the tile they reached out to some laboratories to come up with a different product however, the laboratories had no idea as the story goes so A window cleaner just started using Joy soap this is how it all come about . True facts Joy dish soap wash this first brand window cleaner used in the 60s As the window cleaning industry ditched using TSP

My daily wash was Winsol super slip and dawn. I'm now experimenting with Winsol 100 and super slip. I like it better. Next will be to try GG4 in this same mix. Winsol SS is a game changer!

I've been using the unger soap. Great glide and super clean finish. Great for the fall and winter and will be seeing how it does this summer.A gallon goes a long long way. Expensivlve but I found a hardware store that sells for very cheap. They must be buying large quantities. About a third the price of supplier prices. So for now it's my go to.

Mixing GL4 defeats the science as to why it was made. If you’re going to mix it use GL3

@@Momonoski My understanding is that GG4 is for hard water and GG3 for soft water. I recently started using GG4 with winsol AC100 and Winsol SS. They play well together. I'm now adding in a touch of dawn for better slip. I may take out the AC100 and replace with Dawn.

I use Palmolive concentrate. Doesn’t dry the hands, and cleans, suds like Dawn. Not quite as good for grease. But a couple seconds longer scrubbing and BAM same results.

use to use super slip with glass gleam 3 but now just use glass gleam only.Why? The best soap hands down!Yes no slip I have adjusted my blading to compensate for it.Great for heavily soiled windows. Killer solution for nicotine and holds up well in hot climates. For over 25 years and not going back to any other product. Super slip if you need glide.

Be good to know what pH & hardness/softness of your water is? I find it has a lot of bearing on which soaps become more popular in different areas.

Mix a little bit of dawn heavy duty with a little bit of liquid laundry detergent. Insanely slick and dries very slow in sun

I use the same combo of Glass Gleam/ Dawn, but i also use a splash of vinegar. Any thoughts on vinegar in a solution? Seems to work well

The reason you don’t hear much about Ecover, is it was a private company when it was loved. It had insane slip with NO glycerin, thus very very low residue. They were bought out by a corporation (proctor and gamble I think but not sure) First thing they did was reformulate it, and added glycerin. It’s performance went to crap. I bought 5 cases back in 2012ish when they changed, and just ran out bout a year ago. So now looking for a new formula. As much as I hate dawn, I’ll try it with SS, and gg3.

@@SteveOthewindowcleaner at a start we did not experience as much hot glass as expected so we only put the mixture in the green new hire bucket; who seemed to have less of an issue with mistakes ~50% less at an average... note: he quit directly after so I think it’s worth noting that the new guy who quit cleaned glass better than a third day of training hire as an average.

You taught me a valuable lesson Steve. Q . I cleaned my rear window with wfp . Then I scrubbed it with alot of wasing liquid . Still small marks all over it . Is the window nackered or is that rtf . I think the window has had it . That could cost a customer but it is what it is .

For slip, use Winsol super slip. I have heard GG3 is for soft water and GG4 works better for hard water. I'm in a hard water area. I use GG4. Never tried GG3. Hope that helps.

I'm in Australia personally Dawn is the king for window cleaning Steve taken tome to this are helpful thank you my combination it's on 20 liters of water 2- 1/2 spoons of Dawn and 10 ml of GG4 depending what type of glass are you approaching or GG4 and also are good on Hydrophobic windows it works great..!!

What about Sprayaway? I use it on interior French doors with microfiber towel. And mainly Dawn for everything else. I find it weird to not have any suds at all so thats why i dont like ‘window cleaning’ soaps. Plus I dont want multi-step soap+glide solution.

I doubt the fliq how it comes with the scrubpad the original position works on an aluminum pole but maybe something more sturdy moerman does make a carbon fiber pole. I don' t think that was out when that was released or whatever. and theres an excelerator 3.0 coming out too maybe just blend all that together in one video and I'd totally be hitting the thumbs up button.

Hey guy. I know this is a few months after posting but I just heard about a guy either using a product with coconut oil and lemon or he puts it in his solution. That’s all I heard of it and the guy I talked to didn’t know any more about it either. Have you heard of anything like this to help give windows an extra shine or something?? Lowe's, Sam's club, and Amazon for the Dawn Heavy duty. I didn't like it as much personally. Same as the platinum. Maybe I just have a heavy hand. Sad to hear about the moerman soap. It is too expensive for me as an every day soap but I definitely want a couple of those bottles.
