EDIT (01.10.2022) *FAIR WARNING* - anybody who dares comment or imply that I have made things up about the city (I haven't), for the sole reason that I'm from Manchester will instantly be blocked and deleted. The facts I've stated in this video, particular pertaining to safety, I believe to be true and are backed up with facts and statistics, whether you agree with them or not. Common sense would dictate that if I had such a problem with the City of Liverpool and/or their inhabitants, I just wouldn't make a video about it. I would NOT waste my time creating a guide to help tourists put money into the local economy, or reporting on facts that I did not believe to be true. And I certainly would save myself having to reply to unjustified criticism from easily offended individuals. You're free to disagree with the content of the video, and that's fine. But you are NOT free to hurl racist, discriminatory or football related abuse because you disagree with something that I've said. I will no longer waste my time with passive aggressive individuals who are so biased, they cannot be reasoned with. ORIGINAL (26.09.2022) I think anyone visiting the lovely city of Liverpool is in for an amazing (and cost effective) time! Definitely a lot of fun and historic things to do in this northern English city! Let me know what other cities you’d like me to visit and make a guide of? But in the meantime, help me share this content where you can 😊

@doesitmatter itdoesntmatter hotel prices are reasonable in Liverpool, they vary depending on what kind of hotel you want to stay at. They average between £40-£70 per night, but there are some that are cheaper and some that are way more expensive.

Well, there are some libraries that are exciting or have amazing features that are worth visiting just for that. There is one other thing it's worth using the public transport for, especially if you're an art lover (or even if you're not but just like a nice walk somewhere scenic and interesting) - Crosby Beach. This is a long beach about 20 minutes by train from Liverpool Central station, which has 100 iron statues by Antony Gormley strewn across it looking eerily out to sea. It's so cool, honestly. I would suggest checking the tide times though, because at low tide the statues are mostly approachable on foot on the beach, but at high tide they're mostly in the water. Ideally go when it's on its way out (though it is well worth seeing at any time of day). Oh, and the stations nearest to Crosby Beach are in a fairly affluent area, not so dangerous! And naturally, it's free 😉

Hi! How long does it take to travel from Goodison Park to the station on matchday? Any tips?
@UltimateBucketList5 ай бұрын
Normally a bus from Liverpool Lime Street to either Liverpool or Everton takes about 20 minutes. However, because of matchday traffic and everyone trying to get on the same bus - it usually takes 25-40 minutes depending on how busy it is.

Fun fact... The catholic cathedral was designed by a protestant and the protestant cathedral was designed by a catholic 😄 And my personal favourite... St Georges hall was built facing the opposite direction to how the architect wanted it. He wanted the front of St Georges hall overlooking the park at the back of it. Lord knows how nobody noticed the mistake until it was finished 🤣
@UltimateBucketList Жыл бұрын
I didn't know that. Haven't fact checked it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. Thanks for the facts!

For a day trip : Sefton Park or Chester zoo?
@UltimateBucketList Жыл бұрын
Kinda like chalk and cheese. One is a park, one is a zoo. I'd tell you to go to the zoo, but that's not in Liverpool.

Liverpool Anglican Cathedral is the biggest Cathedral in the UK, so it's bigger than St Pauls

Great video Ninh! I quickly wanted to ask which city is a lot more safe and better to live in. Liverpool or Manchester?
@UltimateBucketList2 жыл бұрын
It all depends on how you look at it and what your personal circumstances are. I wouldn't say that either city is safer or has better prospects than the other. Some people thrive on Liverpool's city life, some people are happier in Manchester. I think the best thing to do is explore both cities for yourself and decide once you've had a chance to explore!
@janicefinn17452 жыл бұрын
I am from Liverpool and have now lived in Manchester for 9yrs. I would say safety wise both are about the same, although my car was never stolen in Liverpool, but was taken off my drive in South Manchester. Nightlife wise there is more variety in Manchester, but I prefer Liverpool as much easier to get around. Liverpool in my opinion is a more beautiful city and property wise it's a lot cheaper to buy there.
@eesah372 жыл бұрын
@@janicefinn1745 That is true crime is everywhere in uk you can’t hid away from it. You just have to be wise when considering which part of a city you are living in. I have been to Manchester i found it really nice and there’s lots of things to do. Liverpool I can’t really say anything yet becuase I’ve only been once and that was only going to anfield. But both from what I heard are really good cities in terms of night life, places to visit and food spots. Even property prices are quite good aswell.

A couple of little fact checks - the Liver Birds on top of the Royal Liver Building are made of Copper, not stone and they got their name from the city, not the other way round, or perhaps you were tongue in cheek when you said that! Great tourist video though, I'll be sending the link to my Canadian cousin who is visiting Liverpool (and me!) for the first time in a few weeks.
