See MIssing Persons 411 & you will hear how often this actually does happen. When someone gets lost on a trail, or confused (by many mysterious means) they cannot find their way back to their car then keep going in circles so stop, take shelter and hope someone will find them. Then if they don’t get found & have no food they panic, get more disoriented & now are exposed to the elements, weather, wildlife & low temperatures. Don’t have to have an injury to be lost & sometimes never found until its too late. You’re spot on PInk Rose about an emerg beacon & GPS & all other recommendations.
