I slice the bread and lay it all out on my sheet pan, freeze it for about 20 minutes, then take it out of the freezer and put it in my silicon reusable Ziploc bag. That way it doesn’t stick together and you can easily take out one piece at a time. So you either toasted pop it in the microwave for just a few seconds, or leave it on the countertop for half an hour or so.

Onion tip works for me - chilled onions vs room temp onions cut back on the waterworks. I also dice /chop with my veggies in a mandaline

We use Allulose for browning. It doesn’t add any sweetness but makes things brown wonderfully. Another thing is the crumble factor. To combat this you can add a tablespoon of unflavored gelatin. Works well for chewiness and less crumble. I’m sure there is a learning curve to whole grains but eager to start!

You can do it! Whole grains are the best!

Thanks for all you do. Those who are receiving these will appreciate it. I can't get my bread to rise like that.

I now use a sous vide for making cheese and yogurt. I also have a Bluetooth thermometer with a LOUD alarm, which helps. It's the Thermoworks Dot with the water-resistant probe.

That marathon was so much more relaxing than running one myself. I totally enjoyed it. You are so cool, calm and collective in the kitchen, you never break a sweat. You definitely are dedicated to feeling your family wholesome meals. ❤️ I’ve never eaten deer and your hubby made it look outstanding. Praying your power is restored soon and all is well. Some of my favorite homestead channels in North and South Carolina as well in Georgia got hit with flooding, high winds and some property damage from the hurricane. 9” fell in two days here, haven’t seen that before. May God continue to bless you all with peace, health and Joy unspeakable.
