Welcome to my KZbin channel Hairliciously. In this channel, I will be taking you on a journey of my FUE hair transplant progress. Towards the end of November 2016, I had a 1700 FUE hair transplant done in South Korea at Motion Clinic (en.motionclinic.kr) to lower my hairline and to fill in my receding temples. The FUE hair transplant procedure took me about 7-8 hours to complete and cost me approximately $5000 USD.

If Chen went to a hair loss place they would have said a transplant is your only option. Chen just proved them wrong. He was literally bald on top. I've heard of the microneedling and they say do it once every 10 days at 1.5mm. I guess lowering it down to 1mm you can do it more. There really isn't a set standard on how many times per day/week. If you can take the slight pain, I say go for it. At Chen's stage of hair loss he's got nothing to lose, or for anybody at that stage.

I have started derma rolling 2 times a week, since a month now with 1 mm needle size, followed by a RCP serum. I have hair thinning in my temple area only , and some parts are almost bald. Although i feel i have a decent hairline and would dedicate atleast 6 months to recover the lost hairline before a temple transplant. I am working on my diet, sleep and cut down alcohol completely. I will keep posting with updates in case of any improvements on hair regrowth. Meanwhile i would request if i can get any further suggestions to add on to my routine..thanks

Why not read the official studies. They say about 1-2 weeks between each 1.5m needling. Common sense is that the scalp needs tile to heal between or it will risk being scarred and inflammation

@@litjellyfish maybe I periodization is best. Low frequency for deeper needling with higher frequency low depth needling multiple times a week.

@@bunny.bunbob well that might work. Still remember this: When you use deeper needles you are in inflicting wounds. That need to heal. If you during heal break those wounds up even with smaller needles you are working against the healing. So I would say for what you suggestion. Needle deep and wait a week. Then for the following week yes maybe you can needle superficially mon,wed and fri. And then go deep and wait a week again. But to go with small needles just some day after a deep needling just don’t make any sense healing wise IMO

is it ok to just use finasteride and ketoconazole shampoo? I only just noticed slight thinning on the vertex (not visible) and no recession or thinning elsewhere (Norwood 1 hairline), so I think adding minoxidil and dermaroller at the moment is overkill. I heard form others to see if the initial protocol works first before adding something new. However, could an exception be made for microneedling?

5 months is nothing. It can take longer for the transplanted hair to grow out. Why are you not on fin or minox? My man, I would really appreciate your opinion, as I think you are one of the main and most trustworthy authorities on hairloss on this platform. Does it make any sense to start taking Saw Palmetto at age 21 just to prevent hairloss? Keeping in mind that I currently DO NOT experience any kind of hair loss signs + my genetics are pretty solid in the sense that the men in my family had 0 to mild hairloss which only began after the age of 30. I had my mind pretty much set on starting taking 320 mg daily until I came accros a guy who claimed it fucked him up sexually like Erectile disfunction and decreased libido and I thought maybe it's not worth it after all to mess with my hormones at this age,especially with a non prescription plant extract like Saw Palmetto extract. What do you think? I really value your input. Thanks a million. I already bought the stuff but If you say to throw it in the trash I will.

I would say wait abs take good photos abs monitor your hairline the coming years. If it does seem to start to thin out go on fin low dose and see how it progresses. If still loosing go on normal dose of fin. If that seems to stabilize the hair and you have areas that you want to thicken up. Go in minox and needling.

@@jemand7488 yeas that is what it’s supposed to do right? That is why it works and that is what it does MUCH better than saw palmetto. And if it has no sides then why worry? Also it’s a lot less hassle AND cheaper to pop a quarter of Praocar every second or third/fourth day than less with something that in the end is more or less the same but inferior. I also respect your opinion. It’s just that I have used fin for a long time with no sides so I maybe am biased in that way.

Watching this I think the best you can do is microneedle a little bit daily very gently and aplying minoxidil right after so it can absorb better. Then once a week derma roll with 1.5 until the area is red like a tomato to activate the stem cells. This way you can benefit from 2 different mechanisms and your scalp will be able to take it.

Dermarolling works thr best on people who are almost bald still givr it a try,they dont expect a lot and than boom haha..dermarolling on head with lots of hair is not good in terms of penetration to the scalp..i have great results with 0.2mm but i was dermarollin every day with combination of Redensyl,and some essential oils..
@litjellyfish
@litjellyfish 3 жыл бұрын
With a derma pen you get really good penetration as well if you are not having super thick hair abs if so why would you like to roll then? 0.2 gives little effect. Your result was mostly likely due to your topicals abs better absorption of those. Also it’s recommended to now needle more often than every 1-2 week if you go down to 1.5mm which is what really is needed to get the benefits from the needling itself.

If a person uses Finasteride besides dermarolling and Minoxidil its case is useleds... Pointless....because its imposible to know if his capilar advance is because dermarolling or Finasteride ( most probably )
@litjellyfish
@litjellyfish 3 жыл бұрын
So why is it pointless if it works? It is as you say impossible to say what helped. But it’s not pointless. Especially not if you have been on finasteride for several years. Then you can see if the increased growth is due to needling. But if you are just starting on finasteride then no you should not use needling or minox until you seen how you respond to finasteride alone.
