The 12 string distorted sounds surprisingly good! I want one. Its like a dream how cheap you can get decent guitars these days, at least halfway decent, but this is DOUBLE the guitar, so it all comes out in the wash!

Very Cool Demo. My daughter and I have 3 Westcreeks. 2 Racers, Matte Blk (Mine) and Bumble Bee (supposed to be mine, hers now) and one 333. We Love em' all. I've been considering the Double-neck since it came out. I'm VERY Happy you did a video on it. Looks Good and Sounds Good to me. Had a 12 string acoustic Fender years ago. No idea what happened to it. My daughter has a 12 string Acoustic/electric Mitchel right now. I want my own. I'm more likely to get it now that you made this demo video. Thank you. Love the show man. I have both an IYV and Firefly double neck. They are very different and both are imperfect, but I really like them both a lot. I haven't played Stairway to Heaven or Hotel California on either of them and I won't. I've been tempted to try the Westcreek model and now I'm more tempted. We'll see. The microphonic pick ups might be a deal breaker. Not an issue with the ones I have. Thanks for the great breakdown.

I do not own one, but I would love to spend a few weeks with one to see how I like it. Unfortunately, those pickups may have to go if feedback is not your thing. They seem to be very microphonic. Oh yes! I'm a huge Zep fan. It's really weird to play a 12 string if you're not used to playing one and then add a double neck on top and it makes some getting used to. Yeah, with distortion, the bridge pups start to howl. With overdrive they're fine. I will replace these eventually. If you're going to get one, this is the one to get if you just want one to have and don't have a ton of cash to burn! Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it!

I just received my Racer GT and I've spent two days literally with a magnifying glass and I've come to the conclusion that it was put together by an Android or a robot. I can't find the smallest defect and the best word to describe it is consistency. Nothing looks like it was handmade because everything is perfect. The Fret ends perfectly progress from smallest to large exactly the same amount distance from the edge. No paint flaws no bumps. No manufacturing marks or casting marks on the plastic or metal. And it has sustain for days. The tuners and the knobs are so smooth. I'm kind of shocked what you can get shipped to your door for under $200. I wonder how much they walk away with after Amazon charges service fees?🤔🤔😅😅

This is my first electric guitar, my previous being acoustic. Your hard work made it all possible! I'm SO glad I made the right choice. It couldn't have been a better purchase IMO. My next guitar will be a Helios!

That's a nice looking and not bad sounding double neck guitar for $339 and I've had my eyes on these West Creek guitars for a while now, I've see the West Creek Revenge[ Explorer Style ] Guitars and the West Creek Racer [ SG ] Style of guitars also, most reviews have been good to decent so far, so I just might start to pull the trigger on these guitars, I mean you can buy these 2 just mentioned plus this double neck for between $1100-$1200. You can't go wrong at that. Anyways Great Review And Keep Rocking. Cheers...........................!

I just ordered a red one and should have it on Wednesday! I play just for fun and wanted a 12 string electric. This cost less than the stand alone 12 strings I looked at and I got $40.00 off. I am not a pro, but the guitar sounds great to me! I will give you my impressions of it when it arrives. My only fear with these things is the way Amazon packs them (poorly) but so far, I have been lucky! :)

I received my Double Trouble on Wednesday and my first impressions are very good with one issue. The issue is the color, oddly enough. I got the red one, but it is not red. It is more like a dark pink, or as my wife put it a dull red! In the photos on Amazon it looks like standard red. Apparently the black is not really black. An Amazon reviewer exchanged his red one for black, it he said it more like a dark grey. They have not had the white one in stock for a while and if I exchange it, I would want that. I have until January the 31st to return or exchange it, but I hesitate to do it for one reason. Even though I am not crazy about the color, the guitar arrived in pretty much perfect condition and tuned up very easily. The string action on it was set the way I like and I just cannot find any flaws in it. It sounds great to me! Does it beat a Gibson 1275? I doubt it, but I would not spend $8000.00 on a guitar to find out! That blows my mind really. A guitar is 90% wood. Now I need to find a gig bag to store it. For now I am going to keep it in the box it came in. Westcreek does a very good job of boxing their guitars, but Amazon does not put them in another box for protection. Thankfully our UPS driver was easy on mine! lol

The thing is you are hardly are going to find a hard case for the 12 / 6 string, let alone a gig bag. Are you handy with a hand saw and measuring tape ? You could build a case for it for probably $80 in wood and rolled Tolex, if you have good glue and nails and house hold tools you can build a case for it. Good luck ! ​@cranstonsnord4334

you can eliminate some feedback by hetrodyning a complimentary frequency ....but make certain it is not absorbed by the guitar! good info presentation was a little crude but it was informative aswell!

My only real concern, apart from setup, is that I would need to get both a nickel-free set for the six-string neck (which I can find easily) and a nickel-free set for the twelve-string neck. They don’t seem to make a set of strings like that for electric 12-strings so I’m out about another hundred or so bucks to get all the individual strings I would need. If you’re wondering why I need strings like that, it’s because I’m allergic to nickel so nickel-plated steel strings, which is what most electric guitars have, trigger my allergy and make my fingers blow up.

Yes, figured that when you mentioned, nickel l-free. That's a tough one. There are few choices for 12 string sets.

I've wanted a double-neck guitar for a long time. I stumbled on your KZbin video and ordered a white Double Trouble from Amazon after watching your review. I don't mean to come off as a guitar snob, but my other guitars include a vintage Les Paul, a vintage Strat, a Custom Shop Strat and a PRS Custom 24 that was custom-made for a PRS employee from whom I bought it. Honestly, I was skeptical and, after reading some reviews on Amazon, I was afraid that the guitar would arrive damaged or with some other flaw such as separated frets or misaligned necks. The box it was packaged in was not impressive and I was prepared for the worst as I took the plastic cover off the guitar. I was pleasantly surprised that the guitar didn't even have a minor scratch on it. OK, fine, the guitar was not damaged but it was still just garbage--a cheap toy, right? Wrong!! To say I'm impressed with this guitar would be an understatement. True, the truss rod on the 6 -string was way off as was the intonation on both necks. The 1st string buzzed ridiculously from the second through the 5th fret. But after changing all the strings (Ernie Ball Slinky 12-string and Classic Rock'n roll .009s on the 6 string), and doing a basic setup, I was shocked at the guitar's playability. The pickups may not be the best but they'll do for now. The tuners are all on the loose side but the guitar does stay in tune. I am between bands now, as I'm in the process of moving from South Florida to North Central Florida but I do plan on joining or forming a new band and gigging with this monster. With that in mind, I wonder if you have any suggestions for a guitar case or even a gig bag that will work with this guitar? Also, do you have any recommendations for pickups? The switches and pots seem to be fine but the pickups sound a little "flat."

I can't see spending Seymour Duncan kind of money on a budget guitar. I don't think it'd be worth it. They're better, but not that much better to warrant the price. As far as a case, I'm sorry to say I don't know of any and haven't looked for one. Thank you for your great feedback!

I've done research in finding the materials and instructions to build a case for a double neck 6/12 acoustic that I plan to get. I've got the necessary skills to do it myself, instead of paying a fortune to have one custom, made.@@MotorRoseMusic

In deed! Not only the weight, but the weight combined with the awkwardness of the double-neck with the weight. It is. Certainly cool to have, but a single 12 string is much more reasonable an endeavor. 👍
