Love your videos Alexander and Grant! I should fly out from Arizona to play some games with you two.

Great overview :) SCS would benefit, I think, from making a couple of games specifically dedicated to first time players. I know for grognards Rostov is considered 'low counter density' , but for a newbie, it isn't. Something smaller, smaller map would be great to get people into the system and hex and counter in general :)

The are significant difference and 20+ years of research. Haven’t played it yet but the unit stats are dramatically different.

It's funny, but I haven't felt the need for another Ardennes game since I fell in love with another MMP product - The Last Blitzkrieg. Hands-down, my absolute favorite game covering Wacht am Rhein. It does so many things so differently (yet so right) from any other game covering this battle. The BCS system is a phenomenal design by Dean Essig. If you haven't tried it, you really should.

A question guys, i live in Australia in 2024 would love to go to one of the conventions ,i only play wargames and nearly all solo, but have plenty of 2 players as well , which Con would be ideal for me , i'm not keen on Gencon, but any advice would be great.

WBC is the place to be. ~3000 attendees with a massive Wargame contingent. Loads of space and people to do pick up games, or you can play in organized “tournaments” which are typically accommodating for new people in the early rounds.
