15:30 bullet truss rod on that olympic white strat, plus three bolt neck. Probably a ‘71 - ‘74 (assuming staggered pole piece pickups) ‘69 and ‘70 would have four bolt neck and no bullet truss rod. Great vid tho and even greater guitars 🤘

Always regretted changing my '52 re-issue wiring from the original. Never the same guitar afterwards. Even lost that reverb "click" from the amp when switching pick-ups like you hear on Buchanan's solos (the warning before gettin your ears scorched). My advice, leave alone, it was done for a purpose. Steve Howe routed out his original 52 to accommodate a humbucker, regretted it like hell of course (without fully admitting it).
@Rockbeareguitars3 жыл бұрын
Interesting, thanks. Sadly, Steve Howe meddled with many of his guitars to “improve” them.
@iannicholls74763 жыл бұрын
Humbucker in the Tele neck position a mistake? Seems to have worked for Keith Richards.
@maxwellfan553 жыл бұрын
@@iannicholls7476 With his cash Keith R can do what he like, but then Keith R is not, or ever will be a guitarist's guitarist like Buchanan, as you should know and even Keith would admit. I stand by by belief. Leave the lipstick pick alone, don't meddle with Leo's perfection. Anyway, get Thinline Tele if you want a humbucker, awsome guitars in their own right.
