I'm a current student at App that was there. My blood pressure got a little too high there at the end. True rollercoaster of emotions. This is the third time these teams have played since 2019 and every game was a nailbiter with a weird ending. Don't blame Mack at all for saying he's done with our shit lmao.

Once you’re in 2ot, I think you have to go for 2 pt conversion. They made this rule to limit the length of the ot in college since you’d have some that go like to 5ot and stuff. I may be wrong about the 2 pt thing idk

Pretty sure you are correct about the rule. And I think at the 3rd OT and beyond you just trade off 2point attempts at the goal line until one team converts and the other doesn't.

Yeah they changed it. Now it's the second OT and beyond when you have to go for 2. As opposed to the third OT and beyond. That one extra OT difference that will keep players safe. (sarcasm font needed)

My daughter was at App State the year they beat Michigan. I went to Ohio State as did my wife so it was a sweet victory for our family. I loved the tee shirt battle at App State after that win, clearly a second victory for App State.

So is the NCAA rule that, in OT, the team who was scored upon gets one more drive? That's way better than sudden death, where in NFL OT a team can win just by a field goal, without the other team being able to answer back

Each OT each team gets a possession. Second OT, they have to go for two and I think 3rd and on they just do 2pt conversions. It is superior in most ways to the way the NFL does it.
