Dealing with crank no start on my '81 W250, manual. Truck has always been reliable with the exception of cold starts after a week which is understandable. It's sat the better part of the last year & upon going to starting it using fresh fuel in the carb nothing. Pulled #1 plug & no spark. Checked my coil have voltage & primary & secondary coils are good.

The electronic ignition box may be faulty, the only way to really tell since you're not getting spark but are getting coil voltage is to swap it out. I sold the Chevy well over a year and a half ago because the engine needed to come out to do all the freeze plugs. I was just done, had replaced all the brake lines, calipers, rotors, two different master cylinders, two different steering pumps, steering box, all the steering linkage, HEI module went out, finally got a good carburetor on the truck and had it going and three of the freeze plugs started leaking, so I just threw my hands up and gave up. That truck just kept fighting me left right and center and I did not want to keep dealing with it. Sold the Ford 'cause it was beat to hell, worn out, and I just wasn't interested in doing anything with it. Might be buying another Ford F250 in a couple weeks, 1986 with a 300 inline 6 and a granny low. Probably gonna swap in a 302 or 351 after I get the Dodge swapped with a 318 I have from my Dad's truck.

@@DeadReckon I can understand that on the Chevy c,20 especially after the funds in just redoing the front suspension and steering,box included... And I was talking about a early 94 Chevy k1500 onyx gloss black with the quicksilver center stripe running down the sides of the truck extended cab short bed Z71 anyway it was just a bad fuel pump,yeah nope I replaced the entire fuel pump sending unit assembly with a spectre premium part,ect and oil pressure/fuel pump cutoff sensor switch, ignition coil and changed 3 different sets of spark plugs in the truck it had ngk ur5 v power,ac Delco copper core 44t , and ac Delco r45ts those it runs decent on,I ended up changing the distributor because it was worn down under the cap and rusted couldn't get it to fire correctly so the a team performance distributor was swapped in it had a no name ignition control module so I bought a ac Delco ds194 and put in the distributor belden Napa heavy duty silicone ignition black wire set, replaced the starter because it would almost kill the battery starting the truck, and then I figured out the other main issue when I got it to run halfway decent it would backfire out the heartthrob deep tone dual glass pack muffler exhaust 2.25 pipe and 3 1/2 inch 18 inch long stainless single wall tubing angle cut exhaust tips sounds like a 12-16 side by side double barrel shotgun with buckshot being fired simultaneously LOUD!!!! Anyways then I found out the issue it had a set of mismatched tbi fuel injectors in the Rochester 220 tbi a 5279 305 fuel injector in the passenger side and a 5207 350 fuel injector in the Dr side so it was starving half the motor of gas most of the time.. and then I noticed that wasn't shifting right probably a sticking shift solenoid in the th4L60 transmission but that was it I was over fixing it it was a rebuilt motor that supposed to only need a fuel pump,severe lack of maintenance caused all kinds of issues. But I ended up buying a 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab long bed 5.2 litre 318 magnum V8 46 RE AT gloss black with most of a white pinstripe 1500 4x4, and it started right up in 24 degree weather and carries a consistent 60 psi oil pressure at engine operating temperature it has 176k miles and the front suspension is completely rebuilt drives straight and better than any dodge truck I can think of, the factory ac works has a new torque converter and front pump and input shaft seal in the transmission so when you shift this truck into reverse if you don't have your foot on the brake pedal it starts backing up.i think it probably has closer to 214k myself but had to tell since almost all the original dash cluster failed truck has rust around the edges of the bottom of the truck, but it for a nothern Ohio truck since new has a really good condition truck bed, and solid floors in the cab and I gave $1,500 for the truck so I can't complain
