A great idea you can also make a leather strap to go around the drill column to support the unit screw the leather either side of the column into the back of the unit

Inspirational! I have my small bandsaw on a cart on wheels, and just throw scrap timber into a plastic bin underneath. I’ve often thought I wasn’t using the space to its best advantage, so you’ve given me a much better idea! By chance someone on marketplace was giving away 2 low & wide wooden carts, with sliding plastic trays (like they, use in schools). So those are going to get chopped and repurposed as one tall slim cart, a bit like yours. You can never have too much storage in a workshop 😊😊

Besides your excellent woodworking and building, I am always struck by your videography. Just a small detail such as close up of tightening the castors on, you had your Badger sign in the shot, perfectly placed. Attention to everything is so impressive.

Just a suggestion Matt instead of nuts and bolts to fix castors try washer headed screws , i use them and never let me down. Btw nice build, wondered what colour bison wax came out like, don't think I'll bother. Geoff

Brilliant. I did something similar, but used a hose clamp at the rear on the column and 2 slits to thread inside to secure it x 2 - worked well, but overall it looked 💩. Your one looks great, love the drawers shading after the wax polish 👍👍👍

An excellent build. Fortunately (maybe unfortunately) I only have a bench top pillar drill so don't have the same storage underneath issue. I've always found the benchtop one to be sufficient as if I need to drill into longer pieces, I swivel the head of the drill 90° and have it work over the side of the bench top.

Enjoyed that. Is it possible to have a link for the grooving blade ? I have a Bosch saw like yours that needs a 256mm blade but I can only find the grooving blade in 180mm. Is 180mm good enough as grooves won’t be that deep ? Thx 🙏
