Great use of scrap boards, usual smart design, easy, and functional. Well done mate, especially the easy positioning of the drawers! I would prefer to use round head screws for the little brass cardholders, just to avoid bending them. All the best,I'm binge watching your videos, and the quiet, unhurried format is just perfect. Hope you're well . Looking forward to more of your calm, practical projects.

A woodworkers irony. Using up wood scraps to make room for wood scraps.

A project like this can help novice woodworkers feel confident that building a chest of drawers is not as difficult as they may think. Nice use of scraps. In my shop (aka the corner of the garage) there are no scraps, just unthought projects.

Hi Matt, good and solid tool chest and looks great in OSB ,what you need to do is to rub some candle wax on the wood runners on the drawers to slide better or you can use silicone spray. As always a great video Take care

These are my favourite kind of build, were joints and clearances don't have to be mm perfect, and a there or thereabouts approach is more than good enough to achieve a good result 👍

I love how, in England we use any pieces that we have leftover in the shed, whereas in America they just get another piece of White Oak

Smart, efficient cabinet for your gear. What about putting some rails under the top shelf even though they are not actually needed? It would provide consistency from the front view, and it may help keep some pesky bits of dust getting in. This seems like a good option for me to try for drawers under my workbench.

thanks for sharing! Very on point, utilitarian approach. This proves you don't need expensive tools, fancy joining techniques, walnut, epoxy and CNC or 3D printing to make something nowadays. PS: candle wax or paste wax on those rails will make drawers ride way smoother due to roughness and uneven grain direction of OSB

Great video, enjoying the using up what I have theme. Might want to fit runner battons on the top draw to stop the draw tiping?

Nice simple construction there Matt, sometime constraints from available materials can result in a better solution, the lower drawer sides work perfectly to make way for the slides and I quite like the look too, although my OCD would insist I put a slide below the shelf too (or even just a short block) for a more uniform look !

Nice and simple. Could probably use some kind of stops so the drawers don't fall out if you pull them too far forward.

I'm sure yer aware that a smear of candle wax on the drawer slides will make them glide much easier. 12-18mm sheet goods should make that chest a bit o a beast to shift. Nice quick build Matt. Take care & stay safe.
