Good job Coco! This really happened to me at a hotel in Santa Barbara. I made my reservation over the phone, it was $800 a night and the second night $1200. It was my birthday and I was celebrating publishing my first book. When I walked in, a lady looking just like her told me I didn’t have a reservation without even asking me my name. I then pulled out my bank card and she found my reservation but gave me the wrong room. It was a terrible visit. I wrote a bad review and they ended up giving me a free nights stay but I didn’t go back, the pandemic happened. Thanks for the video.

I’ve been treated this way during a hard time with an hotel desk employee. I was at the time living at the hotel in particular looking for permanent housing. The employee told me that I need to “get a job” assuming because I lived there that I didn’t work, not knowing that I was paying out of pocket with no assistance to stay there. I worked online. It’s rough to be judged by appearances. When the first thing a person does is judge above all else, it’s heart wrenching, because why choose evil?

There is too many stories like this because it really is happening. I was a victim of this and believe me it not just any old story. I was judged from head to toe. My clothing, the color of my skin, my finger nails because they were not polished (which was against rules and regulations). I resigned from my job February 11, 2023. But to my surprise I learned that I fired and accused of stealing money. I was unlawfully fired, defamation of my character, bullied, followed from my job and illegally taped in the privacy of my home, bank accounts hacked, emails sabotaged, important mail stolen and just totally stressed me out. I knew I better get away from that job before I got locked up for something I did not do. I do have receipts. Believe me!!
@mickeyj69218 ай бұрын
Really good skit. This one to me, wasn't about racism at all but about class systems where even employees feel like they can look down on someone just because they don't look polished or extremely wealthy. The front desk lady probably couldn't even afford a room there herself but had the nerve to judge somebody. Money talks and that's why she had to walk. The CEO was so down to earth and kind. So was the guy. The color made no matter. Good job.

I walked into an LA fitness type gym here in Tampa about 2 weeks ago. While not extremely upscale, it is significantly more upscale than say your planet fitness or EOS gym. I am 56 and I've been a member of a gym since the age of 27. I'm a very experienced heavy weightlifter. I walked in the door and told them I wanted to inquire about membership prices. The two people at the front desk pointed to a large corner of the gym and told me to talk to a membership person. The kid didn't even get out of his chair. White male probably about 20. He stayed seated in his desk. He wouldn't walk 20 steps to meet me or shake my hand. The first thing out of his mouth was "membership starts at 200. " All while he said that he was shaking his head back and forth to tell me to not even bother inquiring any further due to the price. I didn't inquire any further but not for the reasons he thought: I'm too broke. What he didn't realize is I make 70 k a year. I am debt-free and I live on 40% of my income by choice so I can put the rest into a retirement. I'd recently purchased a new 2024, 26k vehicle which will take me 6 (six) payments to pay off. I was inquiring about the gym because it used to be an LA fitness and I used to go there until they changed the name. I also knew they ran on commission. I will return but he won't be the one getting the commission 😂😂. He was lucky I didn't bawl him out right there.

Tim, since you and I are both Christians, maybe I can point out a tiny flaw in your thinking. We are always free to judge something wrong. But, the scripture says that we are not to judge whether a person goes to heaven or hell. THAT judgement belongs only to God. Does this click with you ? If we are not to judge, as you say, then this would mean we aren’t to judge our kids when they do something wrong. Or we are not to judge a thief. Or not to judge a murderer. Or not to judge someone running a traffic light. We DO judge for “ wrongs “ ( although this lady has done no wrong ), but THAT judgement that you refer is strictly a salvation issue…..and that one is for God and God alone. You sound rather young, and I am so very proud of you for being front and center to speak up in the name of Jesus. You are doing a fantastic job ! Keep seeking, learning, and discerning, Tim ! Upon finding out where the old timer was headed, the trucker offers to take him where he can get a meal and a bed to sleep in. The old man, instead, insists on being dropped off at a fancy hotel, and says it's because he owns it! The trucker reluctantly drives the old man there. The old man thanks him, tells him that someone will be in touch with him, gets out, stops and says something to the doorman, and disappears into the hotel. To the trucker's utter shock, the doorman comes over and asks for his name and address. Some time afterward, the old man passed away; and the trucker received an invitation... ...to appear at the reading of the will of HOWARD HUGHES!! Howard had left him a sizable sum; just for picking him up and giving him a ride! Treat people right; because it's the right thing to do!

I wasn't in my best attire but when I got to the front desk and gave his name ,they said there was no way I knew him. We face timed him and they did not believe it was him (guess not every one knows what the owners look like). She called the police and when they arrived so did the manager (not the owner, my guy). The manager ask her if she carefully looked at the reservation that the owner made on my behalf and tits to wind it was there in plain sight. DON'T SERVICE BASED ON WHAT YOU SEE. Service as you want to be treated. I asked that she just get training because we all have to work and I didn't want to be that guy. The next day I had to leave for my trip and a meeting as soon as I landed. She must have pulled double cause she was at check out. Imagine her horrified face when I left in my tailor made suit and tipped her $100 because I was scared she would lose her job.
