Story 24: academic dishonesty is the height of stupidity, because you think you're cheating the system, but in reality you're cheating yourself. Moreover, it is a crime with victims, because people like this steal scholarships from the truly deserving. it is unfortunate that he was on an accident and was hurt, but it is completely unrelated to his academic performance. For all you know you saved your life yesterday by leaving a place a few minutes later and avoided a collision that could have been. The mathematics of probability is too complicated by far to make that sort of assumption, but this student cheating? That's on them.

@@Midorikonokami not to mention how it devalues academia as a whole. My college degree holds no value because even though I and many others worked very hard to be proficient in the material, other students with no understanding and a third grade reading comprehension level were also passed alongside us. They didn't earn the degree and don't know the materials, but have their diploma anyway, so our efforts basically mean nothing. Cheating needs punished and those falling behind shouldn't be "pity passed." Helped, of course, but not to the detriment of those who are actually successful.

(not saying it's correct) in some states it wouldn't be a crime as the state law does allow someone who is 18 and 17 to hook up. So while it's wrong in my opinion, it technically might not be a crime under that states law. Messed up world we live in.

It depends what country it is, A bit frowned upon, not welcome, but not illegal. I think 16 is usual age of consent in most countries, For people who think it is good idea to date people in that age - read next text: but I don't advice dating in that age, especially especially especially if you are more than few years older. Even if it is legal - it doesn't mean it is good idea. People will give you side looks and would think bad of you. Also, in many countries concent can be taking back any moment and teenagers are very unstable and can be influenced by parents etc, and after consent was removed for any bs reasons you became someone who r*ped minor technically (8+ years in prison and life ruined forever). For what? Because you break up with her and she is pissed? Because her mom didn't like you. You are making yourself very vulnerable. Just don't do it. It is stupid. So just don't, never worth it even if legal. I am personally glad that I never dated people younger than 19-20 when I became adult myself.

Don’t laugh about him going to hell because we ALL deserve hell. Stay humbled before God humbles you. Yes, he probably had a hand in that but laughing about someone being damned for all eternity without a second chance is vile and foul. Do you think Jesus is smiling down on you? Think you’re cute? You should pray for his soul and that he found Jesus. You’re a wretched sinner, just like me. Just like him. We ALL sin. You are no better than a murderer since all sin is equal too.

Story 18 I think: my cousin had a similar situation she hit a car in a parking lot I think and drove home and told her parents and they were asking her why she would drive away but she was only 16 or 17. My uncle brought her down to the police station to get it all sorted not too sure what type of charges she got if any but that was the topic of the next 2 family get togethers

Grading scales are weird. In my college, anything above a 60 is passing. Yeah. 60. I just got told that at the END of the semester and did a double take of just "that's a THING?" But yeah OP having a school that requires a 95 for an A isn't the worst thing I've heard.

Also in college in the US there’s no such thing as a D grade. C or above passes, anything else is failed. I think C is a 70.

Story 1, I can see sounding like a parent. My relatives and parents family friends always told me I sound exactly like my Mom on the phone. Even when I was growing up. I don't speak like her though, so its doesn't take long for people to figure it out. Now that I'm older and Mom's retired, she quite frequently hands me the phone when I'm nearby and she's tired of talking to someone. I can mimic her, and sound mean if i need to.

Im so annoyed with people always saying oh the bully has a bad home life so what! Are we suppose to be okay with that and what about the victims? Do they have a great home life? Many dont so why sympathy for the bully but none for the victims? I just hate this mentality, all my sympathy and empathy is for the victims only! Screw the bully, they are the bad guys!

Honestly after Columbine.. so 4/20/99 a lot of stuff changed. I was around in that era as well 9th grade so it was kinda different pre and post columbine. that next school year I remember the student handbook being a few pages longer. I should also clarify I was in an Urban school district too. I can only imagine what a suburban school district would been like. Cause they were a bit more tolerant than in the suburban one according to a couple friends who went to one in the suburban district. Also to answer a question. I lived on the city line one half of the street was the city schools the other suburb.

Ummmm up-vote story 59! Racism in the workplace needs to be dealt with according. Because that is exactly what it is. I can’t run around saying (insert race) power without being called racist. So, why should it be different for anyone else? It shouldn’t. Props for teaching that person a lesson. You’re there for a paycheck. No one cares what you think or wants to hear you spew hate.

For the record, story five is most likely not a crime. Across the United States of America, even though the federal legal age is 18 years old, the average legal age is actually 16 years old. And I’m talking about the average legal age of consent. Also, in Canada, it’s also 16. Not saying that’s 16 being the age of consent is a good thing, but in some states, the average age of consent is not 18. So depending on the state, the dude in story, five sleeping with the 17 year-old sister is most likely not a crime. Also, there’s a possibility that she may have lied about her age. The dude in story six, if the seven-year-old wouldn’t let go after biting the guy, it probably was hurting him very badly. Imagine, gripping someone’s flesh with your teeth. Still not justified, but I understand why he did it.

My moms ex boyfriend, he had paranoia and was a drug addict, he was clean at the time. But that didnt last. what happened was he kept causing me of things, taking his stuff. moving them and such. which I never did. Well I started doing it, and my mom ofcourse took my side. As his paranoah got worse he got back on drugs. and my mom had him sent to rehab and finally left him. There is a lot more to the story but I dont feel like sharing it.

Not my proudest moment but when I was a teenager I was playing hockey and there was this one girl, Marie, who kept smacking me across the shins and the back of the ankles. I told her if she didn't stop I'd smack her back, she called my bluff, so I smacked her back. I'd been walking with my stick up and I tried to spin around and go for her shins but she'd been closer than I'd realised - this whole time she'd been smacking me then falling back, but this time she tried to immediately run past me. So instead of being a meter or so behind me, she was right beside me as I spun, and I basically caught her full force in the side of the head with the rounded "club" side of the stick. She wasn't *quite* knocked unconscious but she was off school with a concussion for the rest of the week. Oh shit the amount of trouble I got in, lol. Marie and I actually became good friends after that, weird how this stuff goes sometimes.

Like I’d want to get some sort of petty revenge but if I spent that much time to help them with their project and fill out that whole notebook and what not there’s no way I could set it on fire cause then I would have wasted a ton of my own time.
