It's a proven fact that human beings have to be told something repeatedly before we hear it enough to remember it. Anyone that has ever been around a child at all would know that. We don't learn something the first time we're shown. Even as adults we have to be told over and over and over again to remember appointments and important dates. Our phones wouldn't need memory if we actually remembered everything we heard the first time.

### Study Notes #### Key Concepts: 1. **State Creation and Behavior Control**: - Understanding brain function allows for the creation of desired states in individuals. - Once a state is created, behavior can be controlled. - Mastery of this skill is crucial for personal and professional success. 2. **Frames of Reference**: - **Self and Others**: Understanding perspectives from both self and others. - **Matching vs. Mismatching**: Different ways people sort information. #### Matching vs. Mismatching: 1. **Matchers**: - **Sameness**: People who find how things are alike. - **Sameness with Exception**: People who find similarities first and then note exceptions. 2. **Mismatchers**: - **Difference**: People who focus on how things are different. - **Difference with Exception**: People who note differences first but also recognize similarities. #### Practical Examples: 1. **Rectangles Exercise**: - Participants identified relationships between three rectangles differently, showcasing matching and mismatching tendencies. - Responses varied from recognizing all as rectangles (sameness) to noting positional differences (difference). 2. **Communication and Learning**: - **Matchers**: Relate new information to existing knowledge by finding similarities. - **Mismatchers**: Challenge new information by finding exceptions or differences. #### Application in Real-Life Scenarios: 1. **Military Training**: - Example of a speech to the U.S. Army where the speaker's friend, a mismatcher, challenged the speaker's statements by finding exceptions. 2. **Therapy Sessions**: - A mismatcher client constantly found exceptions, making therapy challenging. - The therapist used reverse psychology by encouraging the mismatcher to continue their behavior, leading to eventual change. 3. **Motivating Different Types**: - **Matchers**: Show how new behaviors or ideas are similar to what they already know. - **Mismatchers**: Challenge them by suggesting they might not be capable of change, prompting them to prove otherwise. #### Examples of Historical Figures: 1. **Isaac Newton**: - A matcher who found commonalities to develop laws of gravity. 2. **Albert Einstein**: - A mismatcher who identified exceptions to Newton's laws, leading to new theories. #### Communication Strategies: 1. **With Matchers**: - Emphasize similarities and how new information aligns with their existing knowledge. 2. **With Mismatchers**: - Use phrases that challenge their natural tendency to disagree, prompting them to prove the opposite. #### Conclusion: - Understanding whether someone is a matcher or mismatcher can significantly enhance communication and influence. - Tailoring your approach based on these tendencies can lead to more effective interactions and behavioral changes.

Well you know that not all past information spin the now type of situation… if you want to really truly understand your wife and most women who have feelings that are very real, then do the small things that you know you never do for her do not ever ever ever disrespect her or say… and this is a very big important one, never say mean things to her ever and if she does to you let that happen with you not saying anything back unless you mst then stick to something that keeps you in a good place .;for example; she says your an asshole … now hopefully you really are not an asshole otherwise the whole thing won’t work because no one likes an asshole personality ok… anyway if you must say something then don’t go any further then saying wow that is rude and walk away and don’t come back for a hour and if she apologizes or attempts to do nice things for you then you have her love and respect for ever Because you put up with her behavior and still didn’t give into being rude back and that keeps you in the place of her protector and we need that.. if she does it more than 4 times in the same year then she’s go issues and doesn’t respect you or herself ❤
