In this class, we will unpack the understanding required to move into backbends in an intelligent way, according to your body, and your body’s condition. Learn how to practice in a safe and balanced way that counteracts our usual habits and tendencies to move forward.
These actions will lengthen our anterior spine, opening space in the entire front body, which will then develop a much-needed recalibration to our back body, neck, back muscles, gluteus, hamstrings, and calves. The adrenal glands become activated, creating a beautiful energy throughout this practice.

by the way, your bhujangasana demo also works as a very good explanation of proper body positioning while paddling a surfboard!

Dear Fabragg, Backbends can be complicated to access and get the correct actions. It helps to have a intellectual understanding as you bring the correct movement and direction to the body. Fantastic work! 🙏🏻

Hi Jodi, take your time, there is no hurry. When we do what's appropriate for our individual body condition, everything goes better. Since you can watch over and over, may I suggest you practice some earlier classes to tone the body and mind to be prepared for backbending. Step by step starting with standing poses, forward bending and twists will better prepare you. Namaste
