Thank you so much!!! Exactly how I feel, in constant pain, terrible pain in my knees that stops me from walking enough. It's like a vicious circle.

Thank you so much for this informative video.... This is the same problem I am facing right now .... I am overweight and trying to lose weight. My question is, my knee pains while and post exercises. I just want to know after losing weight does my knee pain stay with me all my life or will it reduce along with my weight??? Kindly let me know

Thanks for this video. It makes perfect sense and I am sure it is what is happening in my life. Even worse, I do interim work And for months at a time live in a hotel and don;t have the resources to prepare my food and end up eating unhealthy. I want to be able to move more and be active but my knee pain is stopping me. This video will give me a guideline on how to help myself. If I force myself to be more active with the pain will that still help or will it make my knees worse? By the way, I had a damaged meniscus repaired last year and my surgeon was surprised there was very little evidence of arthritis, so I am sure my weight is the issue. I am 73.

I have never been overweight my entire life, but I started a new job and had to carry a fairly large and heavily packed rucksack to and from work every day. After a couple of weeks my right knee started giving me pain. I stopped carrying the rucksack, the pain lessened but still lingers. Any suggestions or advice?

As a general rule, the best way to counterbalance having to carry something heavy is to stretch and strengthen the muscles around the joints to help support them. For you, if you are still having pain several weeks after an injury, I think it's time to talk to your doctor. You do this to rule out any serious knee issues and then also to get a treatment plan that likely involves a set of good exercises for your knees to help them recover and also help to bulletproof them for the future. Thanks for listening and thanks for your question.

Sir Is it possible that knee collapses or a person can experience patella dislocation due to obesity and high uric acid? 😢
@PrincetonSpineJointCenter Жыл бұрын
Obesity could contribute to a patella dislocation by putting more pressure on the knee. I don’t think uric acid levels would be much of a direct contributor to a dislocation, though.
