Growing up in the shadow of Hollywood, I came to know what "love" was through romantic depictions in film and TV. It was only many years later that I discovered everything I thought to be true was wrong.
Scott Sherman is the Executive Director of an award-winning social enterprise, the Transformative Action Institute (TAI). The mission of TAI is to train the next generation of social entrepreneurs, innovators, and change makers for the 21st century.
Sherman is an expert on the most effective ways that people succeed in their attempts to change the world - whether working for public health, the environment, or economic prosperity. He is currently writing a book summarizing his research, How We Win: The Science of Making the World a Better Place.
Over the last decade, Sherman has taught courses on social entrepreneurship and social innovation at numerous universities, including Yale, Princeton, and Johns Hopkins.
In 2005, Sherman won the international Echoing Green competition, which recognized him as one of the world’s “best emerging social entrepreneurs.” Sherman has also won awards from Ashoka U for excellence and innovation in teaching social entrepreneurship.

How did this video not get as much views as other TED videos? This is by far, one of the best TED talks I have ever listened to. His energy and enthusiasm is out of this world. Good job, Scott!

Love is not easy, what if you fall in love with someone that you know you have zero chance of being with and still remain to feel that way for years and years to come, unable to make room for anyone else in your heart?

Then you keep loving them...you are lucky to love someone to that extent. Most people don't get this feeling in their lifetime. Try not to be upset because of his/her absence, be happy that you love someone so much.

That perpetual and artificial smile can be a sign of three things: 1. Liar 2. Idiot 3. Stroke

4. The way the person behaves under stress.

+mooncoder Its a sign of distrusts. A wide smile is a well known tool for selling bullshit. also for your points: 4. Podium is not for stressed people 5. natural idiots? No wonder he got a TedEx invite.

+D3w10n But consider the direction of implication. A wide smile, as you say, CAN be a sign of many things. But it does not have to be. Do you really think every person with perpetual and artificial smile *must* be 1 or 2 or 3? if a person smiles all the time, then you consider them a natural idiot? Regarding your "Podium is not for stressed people", this statement corresponds well with your self-confidence in 1.2.3.!

True love does NOT come unexpectedly, guys. Anymore, it's all about money and who you know and dealing with others prearranged relationships which should be illegal.
