Finding people to react to this album is so hard- many Linkin Park “fans” consider this album an abomination. So underrated. As for this song, it’s easily one of my favorites. Could you imagine ending a concert with this and as a fan going home with this song still in your heart? As for background: Chester wrote it for his kids.

i actually like this album. however i do agree as a real actual ORIGINAL lp fan that mike shinoda ruined linkin park by chasing the money and going pop and abandoning the fans that actually got them where they are. however there are still gems like this. but it’s all chester. not mike. mike doesn’t even rap good like he use to
@Bishaps2 жыл бұрын
@@metalmike6668 Saying, that Mike Shinoda ruined Linkin Park makes absolutely no sense. Mike Shinoda is Linkin Park, as much, as Chester is. Most of the songs, lyrics, as well as music, was written by him and Linkin Park's original Rap + Rock sound was his idea. It kinda shocks me, how can you name yourself a fan of a band, and say stuff like that about one of its biggest influencers. And sheesh, listen to "Lost in the Echo", and say that his rap isn't good again. Chasing the money... dear God... as if they weren't popular enough as a Nu-metal band, how did you came up with this (•_•)

There are always songs like this one, not on the mainstream, underrated. But i think these are the songs that hits very deeply and maybe that's why there is not much people shouting out for them, because it's too personal...i'm just guessing. For me there is one song like this on the next Living Things album called "Roads Untraveled" and i guarantee there was no suggestion for this one on your channel, and probably no one will suggest that until you react to the album xd i think so, at least. Good job on this album, can't wait for more :) cheers

If I’m remembering correctly, when they were recording this, there were disagreements about it. It was something like Brad (guitarist) wanted Chester to sing more softly (like a traditional “soft song”). Mike encouraged Chester to just sing what was in his heart, so Chester went hard. I think that’s right.... Regardless, the song rules and I almost always listen to it twice in a row, even after all these years. Edit: had it backwards at first between Brad and Mike.

When you throw away blind nostalgia, many will realize this album is one of the best from LP. Yes, it's just my opinion, but god damn this whole album is a masterpiece. Remember... nu metal couldn't last forever, and they had to adapt, and I for one am so grateful they did, so they could deliver us this masterful album
@squiddysquidster802 Жыл бұрын
I think them adapting and changing as band, and keeping that success is what makes them so good for me. I’m glad that they changed, because it means I can have a song/album to fit my mood, or to bring me hope in other ways, to show that I am not alone, that WE are not alone.

you could also do a reaction to the making off of the album called Meeting of A Thousand Suns, wich is very interesting. To your point, since this was a concept album, the emotion you wanted from the final chorus or lines in a song is present theoight the whole song because it's the last lines of what is essentially one giant song. The song by itself warrants it, and the album as a whole warrants it, so Chester fuckijg brings it in. Majestic song.

After Hybrid theory and Meteora, among their other five studio albums the A Thousand Suns is my fave album. Honestly these five albums had more hits than misses. This song was so good yet so underrated. I could compare this with Your Song and Let It be. It's that good to me. Wish you'd react to their live performance of this song like Madrid 2010. It sounds just as good as the studio version

Oh, it's not just you. I cry during this song almost every time. I've been so unbelievably blessed to have heard Chester perform this acoustically, with no microphone, at the LPU Summit: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnrNhqCGiNN3q8k It was so emotional, and I think most of us fans felt very connected through that performance. Always "remember you're loved, and you always will be".
