Man I remember seeing this is theaters. I absolutely despised Blaire for letting all her friends get killed just because she wouldn’t admit to what she did. Definitely recommend the second one. There’s just something fun about watching a horror via Skype/zoom lol. Host is also another great one.

I thought i add this becuz the creators will never admit this. This film is loosely inspired by the Amanda Todd case. Amanda Todd is a teenager who committed suicide from all the harassments she received. When she was a pre-teen, she loved to webcamming and meeting ppl. However, she came across a creep who asked her to flash and she did, not knowing the consequences. Soon the creep made threats to her and soon, exposed her flashed pics through the media. The kids in her school found out and bullied her. No matter which school she went to, kids find out and harassed her. She had resorted to cutting and tried to drink bleach to commit suicide but when that failed, the kids bullied her more for drinking bleach. Before her death, she posted a video using index cards to tell her story. Awesome movie. So glad you both are watching this movie. Didn’t know how to feel about it being all from a computer screen but i loved this movie. Fun facts: • All filmed in one house with all the cast members in different rooms, except for Ken. • Inspired by the actual suicides of Amanda Todd and Audrie Pott. Heather Sossaman had to shoot seven different ways for her character Laura to commit suicide. In an interview with We Got This Covered, she stated that one of the ways Laura was originally going to die was by hanging and she said filming that scene was scary. When it came to committing suicide by shooting herself, she said that was one of the easiest ways and the film ended up going with that. • Its opening weekend is the biggest debut for an original horror movie since The Conjuring (2013), which opened with $41.9 million in July 2013. • All of the Facebook and Skype accounts shown in the film exist and can be found on Facebook and Skype (if Skype still exists lol) • The tools which are utilised in the teenager's demises are foreshadowed in the first five seconds of their skype call, even Blaire's fate as from where Laura springs from in the end to attack her becomes the immediate backdrop as she is adjusting through the six way Skype call. •Revealed by actress Renee Olstead that writer Nelson Greaves had written Jess as having a crush on Adam and him not being interested in her, but rather her best friend Blaire. If one is to pause and look carefully through Blaire's emails, there is one from Adam which has a quick line of him admitting his actual interest in her and how he believes Mitch is not the right guy for her. • All filmed in one house with all the cast members in different rooms, except for Ken. • The "Never Have I Ever" game was written on set. It was also rewritten the morning right before they shot it. • The film is technically an independent film due to no studio being attached until 2014 when Universal had acquired distribution rights. • There is an open page on Blaire's computer screen concerning the fourth season of Teen Wolf (2011). Shelley Hennig, who played Blaire, joined the regular cast of Teen Wolf (2011) as Malia Tate at the beginning of its fourth season. • The complete User Interface with Skype, Gmail, KZbin, etc. was fully translated in non-English versions. • An original version of Val Rommel's death oversaw her place her head in the washing machine of the laundry and a large spray of blood emanating.

Despite this persona they all put on, all of the characters in this movie were terrible people and not truly friends. Even Laura was a bully at one point in the movie. But the biggest one of all was Blaire. The fact she was watching the video of her s*icide, the video of herself being embarrassed, letting all of her friends die to save her time, and cheated on her bf twice all while manipulating Mitch thinking it was going to be their first time and just never telling the truth when she had chances to tell the truth, they could’ve been spared

If you like the format of this movie theres a good movie called "profile" that's done in a similar way. Its based on a book more of a suspense not horror, about a journalist trying to figure out how girls are recruited online to join jihad.
