Hi wow amazing video I have done a fair bit of travelling in the Qld / Nt Part of the desert country awesome what’s out here, driving Landrover for hundreds of Klms whilst doing Seismic exploration. Thanks for sharing, it bought back some good memories.Take care🤩🤩

Nice to see how you evolve bettween different vehikels. here the snow is gone so we can start our own RV season ( our second so we are newbies) with not so good photogrsfer as you have but a nice model ;). next winter we hopfully have winter tires and adabted the kontiki for winter. luckely we don´t have the heat that you have woulden´t stand it. But I gues it is nice when clothing is optional most of the time ;)

G'day to the two of use's. great video's and photos, but I am wondering, were you both ever in townsville a few years ago, and did you ever do the walk in the early morning around many peaks range, I use'd to have a short chat to this couple on the sunday morning as they walked back along the coastal track. hope for a reply. Besides the stunning landscape I really appreciate your superb pronunciation. Even english isn’t my native language it’s effortless to follow your explanations. Are the additional portable solar panels necessary or a nice-to-have?

Thank you. The extra panels are needed when we park the truck in the shade. We also need them in winter when in the southern parts of Australia, there is just not enough sun. We have added another 350W solar panel to the truck recently as well.

Thanks, fuel consumption is not too bad for an 8 ton truck. We have records for the past 50,000km and it is on average 21.5l/100km

@@UnimogAdventures That made me think long and deep .... not long ago we had nothing of all that. Respect for the travellers in those times. As a solo traveller in my trusty Landrover Defender, I just carry an EPIRB. Having already travelled in the 80s I now feel very safe with it.
