We are all shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic death of a Pima Community College student Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, at the outdoor volleyball courts on the Tucson campus of the University of Arizona. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and friends for their loss.
We recognize how upsetting these situations are and want to reassure you that nothing is more important than the safety of our students, faculty, staff and campus community. The University of Arizona Police Department is deploying additional officers on and around the Tucson campus to enhance the safety of our community.
