I promised myself to only open one exotic heavy. Nemesis Star at 240. It helped me through some of the more difficult stuff, so opening something actually helped me. I recommend opening the vast majority of your exotic engrams at around 365

How to get thorn. what you need to do is complete the iron lord bounties from shiro-4 and you will have a chance of receiving the quest line and what you must do is down below. ;) 1. Echoes of Darkness Face The Wretched Eye strike and defeat Kovik, the Devil Splicers’ high priest. No difficulty requirement.2. Harvest of the Lesser Wipe out Fallen in the Plaguelands to feed the weapon’s appetite. You’ll need to kill several hundred Splicers.3. Feast Upon the Light Use Void Damage to defeat Guardians in the Crucible.Thankfully there appears to be no penalties for deaths or losses, so you “only” need to kill about 125 players to complete this. Private matches will not progress the Exotic quest. Hopefully you still have a decent Void weapon somewhere; remember it doesn’t matter what its stats are in standard, level-adjusted Crucible, so even Word of Crota will do.4. Cleansed by The Light Consume Motes of Light to Cleanse yourself and the weapon. Five Motes. If you don’t have enough Motes, earn XP, play Crucible matches or cash in engrams.5. What I found to be the fastest way was Archeon's Forge. I just go there and start it up, after a little bit randoms come and join me and we keep popping SIVA offerings one after another. With 4+ people in there at all times at least one of us always drops an offering, keeping the cycle going. After a couple of hours of non-stop forging I had gained 11 light and had at least 50 blue and purple engrams to get me even higher. AND it's way more efficient than grinding strikes as one round in the forge takes less than 10 minutes.

IMPORTANT once you hit the 340-365 mark instead of doing 350* Heroic Siva Strikes it might be better to simply do the 320 normal strikes; at 320* strikes you're more likely to get skeleton keys and complete strikes faster. NOTE: Skeleton Chests all drop at your light level up until 385* then only exotics will get you up.

biggest thing I learned. don't open all your engrams at once. do it one at a time and check the light. no matter if it's blue or w.e one at a time check light and level up. one by one. because if you open them all up at the same time they will all be the same light level or one above your current.

Heroic strikes are arc burn, catapult and juggler this week, making them pretty accessible if you're around 340, as recommended is only 350. It wouldn't hurt to buy a vendor ghost if you have legendary marks. And heavy ammo is not a waste, buy it in the reef for an ether seed and a low glimmer cost, there is no "wasting glimmer" if you play the game.

Actually, from 365 to 385 is the hardest. Im currently 370 and legendaries dont go past 365 from cryptarc. Only way to level is exotics, raid and skeleton chests.

and faction level ups. Use vanguard boosters and do 2 hours of SIVA heroic playlist, you may also rank up your dead orbit/whatever faction. And get artifacts by leveling your Eris porn faction, from court of oryx.

Do Heroic Strikes. Even blue engrams drop somewhat high! Pop that 3 of coins and if you have a skeleton key for after the strike you'll get some good bonuses in the chest.

How I got 400 was save all my blue engrams until I was 375 and used them all 1 by 1 and got to 388 and then I started decrypting my legendaries and my 1 exotic which got me to 391 then I did strikes, nightfall, and raids. Make sure not to waste skeleton keys on heroic strikes only nightfall

You don't need to equip blues throughout a whole strike, just equip them after the boss is killed so the rewards and the skeleton chest take into account your higher light.

Currently 354. One thing I found to do is farm the Echo Chamber strike on heroic. You can easily run through all the enemies, and can get to the boss in about 3 minutes (even faster on hunter with Bones of Eao and increased control jump). Plus, skeleton keys can get you an Imago Loop ;)

I realized that when he got new armor from his dead orbit vendor, he just went back and forth looking at his equipped armor and the piece of armor he just got. But what you can do is go to the new piece of armor and press RT or R2 to compare it to the piece of armor you have equipped.

I'm level 330. The best way I got blue engrams and legendary engrams as well as glimmer was court of oryx. The items I didn't want was dismantled for glimmer the artifacts that I didn't want gave me legendary marks and more glimmer. This is a great way to get rare engrams and raise your light level.

I just hit 350, another good tip: if you're under 340, or even above, COE still drops valid light gear. I started a run at 347 1/2 tonight, like I said after netting the scores I got to 350. MUCH easier than heroics if you keep having a hard time.

You said don't buy heavy weapon synths because they are "a huge waste" - A while back I calculated all the options for increasing your faction, and by far heavy synths are the cheapest way to increase faction. 950 Glim for 1 heavy or 1000 glim for 4 special or 1250 glim for 25 weapon parts (each of these give you 25 points towards your faction). Also, you can buy heavy synths for 250 glim and a ether seed from Variks or from Eris Morn for like 20 wax idols (no glim). Otherwise, great video! I agree with what you said and I think it will help players.

You have to start do more campaigns in order to unlock higher level (so if your 280 and do rise of iron you’ll get gear that’s 310+)

doing the bond brothers strike is the fastest way to get to 365. strike only takes 8-9 minutes to do if done right and will usually drop 2 blues higher than what you have . whatever drops put it on even if its 1 lvl higher and then do the strike over and over and youll get to 365 in no time at all. got my buddy from 345 to 362 in 3 hours.
