I have been in beauty industry since 16 years old, my first boss was Bijovn , where I was a manicurist and shampoo person, my story is long, ranging from esthetician to professional hairdresser, and NYC has been my area of work, Macy’s , red door ect, meanwhile I do well in cutting and styling, but wasn’t able to get the full capacity of formulation, am much older now and work as a glam and go but I really want to formulate colors other then doing balayage and highlights. When I went to cosmetology school, [back in the stone-age 1983] the state that I lived in required 2100 hours [one of the highest in the country] before you could take your boards...but this was good because it allowed/afforded me the ability to go to any state and get licensed there on reciprocity (I'm licensed in multiple States)

I’m a licensed hair Extensionist so I never really had to know this but I recently bleached my hair out and need to find the right toner to finish the look! These schools need to change their whole set up. I teach at ogle school, and they definitely care more about service and product sales. I hardly have enough time to teach my modules and lesson plans because of clientele services.
